WEEKEND goalscorer Nadir Ciftci has won his place in the Celtic starting XI for tonight’s Scottish League Cup third round match against Raith Rovers at Paradise.
The former Dundee United forward bagged his first strike for the Scottish champions in the 6-0 win over Dundee at the weekend, and will lead the line for the Bhoys in place of Leigh Griffiths tonight as the Hoops begin their defence of the trophy.
Ciftci is one of six changes made to the starting XI following Sunday’s victory as manager Ronny Deila shuffles his pack during a busy run of games for the Celts.
Tyler Blackett will start in central defence in place of Dedryck Boyata and he joins Callum McGregor, Gary Mackay-Steven, Stefan Johansen and Kieran Tierney who have been selected for tonight’s match.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm and there will pre-match build-up and live in-game updates via the official Celtic Twitter account @celticfc
Jeeso, the game not even kicked off and posters are getting personal :)

I hope Broony and Joe Hanson don’t stray too far from an untried defensive quartet. I think this team has the potential to be exciting up front though. COYBIG.

He started it, and that’s what I thought. I’m posting from an iPad and it’s got all these symbol thingys. I have tried all the other ones ( smiley face things, shamrocks, flegs etc) and the posts always get bounced. But the ball works for some reason. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Haven’t we got a problem when the National Broadcaster suppresses news about results and information regarding a catastrophic result regarding a certain football team, For instance Celtic were beaten by Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago and the 1-2 scoreline was mentioned four days in succession on the BBC Scottish News I have no problem the BBC mentioning it 4 days on the trot,
But there was a game played last night that if you hadn’t watched it you would struggle to find the score,it wasn’t given a mention on BBC Scotland news today, and it was a more important game than the Celtic game,Celtic lost 3 points, but the team that got beat last night got knocked out of a Cup Competition, surely that was worth a mention on the BBC National News Sports programme, but no,they kept it a secret, I think there’s another organisation that keeps secrets as well. do they work in unison.

Spending the week exiled in Foreign, which means I have CQN live updates and BBC’s commentary from Easter Rd for company. Curiously, the BBC site is showing Open All Mikes on the interweb link thing, but its the Hibs Dons game that’s being broadcast online. Hey ho.
How are you all, you wonderful people. Have you been kind to each other? Respectful of the other poster’s point of view? Providing insight and thoughtfulness to complement the energy and humour of the CQN community (and that’s what this is: a Community).
Good. Pleased to hear that the legacy you’ve been entrusted with is cherished.
