Jimmy – you never seem to lose bets – pleased for you.
I find it’s more the thrill of beating the bookies that I like rather than the cash.
After all, you’re not supposed to beat them.
For me, only a couple of quid now and then. I usually bet a £1 on all 10 PL matches – on average I should get £9.40 back so 60p for a bit of craic isn’t bad.

I don’t entirely disagree : however Celtic B aren’t running away with the division , currently sitting third .
Also , can they gain promotion to the SPFL ?
If yes , then they would progressively face tougher challenges .

An `awful` lot of CQNers ( and maybe Celtic fans in general) always feel a sense of doom re our team.
My opinion is that the Media plays a big role in generating that negativity.
Jimmy – you never seem to lose bets – pleased for you.
………..
Sorry mate but you have it wrong.
I can have losing bets as well as the next man, but there is little point in Posting them on here UNLESS….I have been ” Robbed” by VAR, Refs and/or Jockeys making mistakes…or Horses NOT running as well as expected ?
My main Horse Racing Bet yesterday was a Winner as I had a ” LUCKY 63″ Bet on. I had Three Winners, and one horse finished an unlucky 2nd, as it veered wildly left when having the Race Won after the last Fence. I had a small profit with the Three Winners ( Odds were 4/1, 3/1 and 3/1 ). IF that other Horse had ran straight and true, I would have had FOUR Winners….and a much bigger profit. My other Two selections were well beat ( SIX Selections in Total).
We will miss DAIZEN MAEDA against Bayern Munich, thats for sure.
Hopefully JOTA and one or two others can ” step up to the plate”….Nicolas Kuhn included ?
Forever hopeful.

Ange Postecoglou’s 2nd season was widely regarded as the most attack minded Celtic team in decades, after 39 games in all competitions so far, Brendan Rodgers’ current Celtic team have scored just 5 goals fewer than that side at the exact same stage of season & conceded 6 less.

A lot of empty seats around me belonging to people who are on the home ticket sheme who didn’t use their tickets even though they had paid for them.

39,000? (it looked a lot more) for a game against a lower division club, live on pay per view or TV Channel subscription, it’s a pretty good outcome for Celtic. No idea how that can be deemed a failure, you need to help me there.
Squeezed in between a league Season Ticket game and a sellout glamour European tie seems a result to me. Certainly the youngsters and ‘back up’ supporters seemed to have had a great family day out.
A reminder that going to Celtic Park whether you’ve a season ticket or not, the match day experience can’t be beaten and should never be taken for granted.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, was CCV rested yesterday or still injured? And, as a follow up question, is it a recurring injury which keeps flaring up and needs surgery to fix or is he just unlucky to pick up a variety of injuries every few weeks?

As he played the full 90 minutes on Wednesday I’d say he’s been rested for Bayern.
If there was an equal chance of getting away game match tickets both domestically and for European games then that would be a possibility.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
The Group monitors performance against the following key
performance indicators (‘KPIs’):
• Match attendance statistics (refer to page 8 Stadium and Matchday Operations and page 36 Five Year Record
(ii) Matchday revenues
Substantial income is derived from matchday ticket sales and the provision of various products and services on matchdays, including programmes, merchandising, hospitality and catering.
Donations from Celtic F.C. Development Fund Limited, particularly in relation to a proportion of matchday lottery ticket sales, are also important.
Significant revenue is also derived from the sale of season tickets. External economic conditions can affect supporters’ disposable income.
The quality of the team and management, the perceived entertainment on offer, the level of success
from preceding seasons, the opposition that the Club may face in the season, together with pricing all have an effect on purchasing decisions.
Many of these factors are beyond the control of the Group.
Poor football results and performances, the nature and quality of opposition, changes to kick-off times and bad weather can all have an impact on attendance figures.
A perception that there are empty seats also affects the purchase of future season tickets in
that supporters may elect to buy a match ticket when desired and run the risk of non-availability, rather than guarantee a seat by purchasing a season ticket.
External economic conditions such as the challenges on consumer spending and disposable income, brought about by inflation, could also have an adverse effect on our potential revenues.
However, season ticket monies for season 24/25 are already received, central rights distributions are largely
secured for the season, sales volumes for match tickets have started strongly and retail sales are in line with expectations.
Taking these factors into account, we feel the risk posed by the external economic environment is limited at present, however the Board will continue to monitor this situation as we progress through the financial year.
I agree. 40,000 is very decent for such a game with such a KO time and sandwiched by a League game and a CL game.

Did well to keep the score to 17 down on 32 minutes.
In my time in Asia/USA it was harder to follow rugby – can anyone advise why Ireland have became such a strong world power in rugby in the last 20 years?
It’s impressive and could be emulated by the Scots, I would assume?

Given the success of our Japanese bhoys are we still scouting there seriously or did that go with Ange?
Good win by The Bhoys yesterday in the Cup.
Well done Celts.
As a wee ” BONUS”, I had a ” SCORECAST BET” come up with the Bookie.
My Bet was…” Celtic to win by the Correct Score of 5 – 0 AND Diazen Maeda to Score at LEAST TWO Goals. The odds were a healthy 40/1″.
I also had Daizen to score at least Two goals in a single bet at odds of 15/2.
Not too shabby.
