    The BBC tell us ‘Goldson aims to quieten Celtic Park’.

     

     

    He certainly quietened half of Hamden when he his (red card) challenge on Eddy led to our goal!

    I have to admit that Jullien and Bolingoli make me a tad nervous but, overall, I like that team.

     

     

    For me, neither of today`s teams look particularly solid at the back so it could be a high scoring game. If so, I would hope for SFTB`s 13-0.

    It’s a bold selection from Lenny, not one I would have made, given they’ll flood the midfield and press high but it looks like we’ll go wide and long.

     

     

    Our players need to be brave on the ball and get into them early.

    Ever since Rangers went out of business, I stopped going to the Tribute Act games as I felt I was then contributing to the Lie.

     

     

    The fact that I am still desperate to beat them, though, is a wee bit confusing. What was that famous CQN expression? Cognitive Dissonance?

    With Edy playing today, I can’t see them playing a high line with a super high press as that’s suicidal. I am struck however by the total amount of pace in this Celtic team with Frimpong, Mikey, Eddy, jamesy, Ryan and also Boli. We can be lethal on the break today so I expect Rangers to bunker down more and try and dominate with Davis and Camara, so I think Christies role today will be vital in pressing and disrupting them in possession. There could be a high score today so Il will take us 4-2. HH

    Kris Boy, what a moron saying that a similar performance from the League Cup will get Rangers the win today. No it wont, If they play a high defensive line then Eddy, Mikey and Frimpong will destroy them.

    I’m grateful for Christie in big matches like this, as he can close down and press when we are having to defend whereas Rogic simply cannot do that as well. I also attribute this change in the number 10 role for our improvement both domestically and in Europe. I also think Lennon sees that also, although big Tam is a good back up for games when we are on the ascendancy.

    That’s the team I’d have picked were it my choice.

     

     

    Get at them wide, run at them, they don’t have the pace nor the guile to match us.

     

     

    A win by two clear goals today.

     

    Match their work rate early on and they will tire, then play football they can’t match.

    would have preferred ntcham to keep solid midfield and bring on Mikey for impact – this is risky and lets hope it pays off – we need to get on the front foot.
