  1. The fault lies with the people who run our club.

dearie dearie so that’s the problem , PL & Co have got the playing tactics and defensive coaching wrong once again today.

  2. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Just watched the manager’s interview on Celtic TV.

Some tell him Christie doesn’t have Covid so there’s no need too see how he is’.

I’m starting to think he’s lost the dressing room.

  3. Notthebus………….Agreed, how long does it take for a 23 year old professional footballer as in Ajeti’s case to get fit? I seem to remember guys playing two matches on the same day in years gone by.

  4. 67 European Cup Winners on

The burden of 10 is heavy

So far this season we have laboured

I see no attacking flair or creativity just possession football

The above points I would argue are factual

This is where it gets opinionated (and we all have one)

Under NL ( 2nd term) have we ever had a “marauding” “attacking” have a go team ??

That goes 3 nil up before half time, that scores at will, that threatens non stop

    I cannot remember one

I remember lots of wins in the last 10 minutes tense nervous affairs

I cannot remember relaxing watching Celtic I always seem to be on edge (probably not confident)

Now is this the weight of 10 or the style of play NL has us playing

We are not in a good place

    It cannot be ignored

Now if you are surprised (I am not) that we lost – then you are more optimistic than me

If you think we will play better against Aberdeen (I’m not bothered about AC Milan) you are really optimistic

Then you will be of the view that NL should carry on

It is easy to call for the manager to go an hour after a defeat to the huns

But I am not calling for him to go because of today

I am not enjoying watching Celtic play

My only wish, is we win 10

    Can NL deliver ??

    Sadly I think not

A hero and a legend a great man and a Celtic icon

    But change needed now

  5. Henry Joy

Not a one off by any means, change is required now, if we stiick with him I think we will lose the league a change might just get us there providing it is someone who can motivate organise and coach a squad.

  6. lets all do the huddle on

I also believe ending a post with KTF or HH is part of the problem

    —-

yes, about a triillionth part of the problem

probably the least relevant point ever made about any celtic issue in the entire history of the club

The manager has been backed by the owner/CEO/Board.

Still not convinced we have spent the money wisely.

    HH

  9. “It looked like what we were – a team put together before the game.

“We gave away two really poor goals and Rangers defended their box better than we did.

“I’m disappointed to concede from a set-piece and then we miss a great chance through Elyounoussi at 1-0 and the psychology of the game changes.

“At 2-0 down, you’re chasing the game. We have players who are not fully fit coming on and they didn’t have the impact we hoped.

“I thought first half we were okay, but second half we didn’t have any sort of penetration and failed to work the goalkeeper.”

  10. glendalystonsils on

I see Neil Lennon is fuming about the mole leaking the team. It annoys me too , but does he honestly think that made any difference today?

    What’s the long term objective?

Rehabiliation of the hun then another go at getting The Old Firm circus into the EPL?

  12. Barkas???

    Not the answer IMO.

Should have done better for their first.

Not an FF by any measure.

  13. GLENDALYSTONSILS on 17TH OCTOBER 2020 4:04 PM

If that’s what happening it suggests there’s trouble at mill.

  14. Furthermore, and not to make any excuses but we should be putting together a highlights reel of Morelos behavior and sending to the beaks.

Down South he’d have been sent off twice.

  15. First half ok, my goodness what was he watching, just go Neil you are seeing what others cant. psychology getting the blame now , aye , how about preparation coaching fitness determination to win your individual battles, psychology is manager speak in this case for not taking a good chance because you were half hearted and lacking in composure.

  16. Notthebus

Agreed on the fitness of Ajeti but in this circumstance, he’s just coming back from injury and was touch and go anyway.

I see no reason why he shouldn’t start against Milan and Aberdeen and start getting a run upfront with Eddie.

  17. 67 EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS

Don’t think you’re alone in that thinking but I’ll ask again – who comes in who’s attainable, available and can hit the ground running with what he has against Aberdeen?

Neil’s body language matched that of the team on the park. Throwing in the towel before a ball was kicked said it all today (radio Scotland pre match interview). Did anyone see our assistant manager today?

I hope this is just a blip and we prove a better squad means everything in the course of a season.

  22. Celtic had NINE players in the box with Ntcham at step outside it when the cross from the second goal from Arfield was struck.

Goldson was being covered by THREE players. Duffy turns, looks at him leave Klimala to pick him up then runs away from hm to give him the space.

Its quite incredible when you watch it back, one of the most shambolically defended goals you will ever see

  23. We’ve lost four huge games at home, in just over a year, to Cluj, Sevco, Ferencvaros

and Sevco. A combination a good organisation on their part and poor management on ours

cost us each one of those games, against lesser players. The tables have turned in games against the

    Huns now.

  24. oh and by the way we could have got CG to grow a goatee and gave him a 2 year contract and saved ourselves £5m for our new goalie , imo he is poorer than both CG and SB

  25. SLOLEYBHOY on 17TH OCTOBER 2020 3:53 PM

    Yes.

It’s just the rank poor level of professionalism that’s become endemic at our club because we’ve not had to be our best to win our league.

The post match comments from our manager have too often being an exercise in defending himself which gets mistaken for loyalty to his players. I haven’t watched today’s but from the transcripts on here it’s more of the same.

No one is convinced by excuses that bear no resemblance to the evidence in front of our eyes.

It an embarrassment to listen to self serving excuses to justify failure of performance, tactics & team selection.

  26. And get the players on 8 hour shifts from now until the aberdeen game to work as a team in all aspects of the game, but that will be unheard of.

When a Celtic manger throws in the towel before a ball is kicked (NL pre match interview with BBC Sportsound) the game’s a bogey.

Does anyone know where our assistant manager John Kennedy was?

It’s just my pet peeve. Ending a pist with KTF, after such and abject performance, and whilst offering no reasoned logic as to what our kept faith is based on just seems pointless to me.

    Empty rhetoric.

I’ve seen far more pointless statements made here every day.

Calling those who were concerned re our direction ‘pantywetters’ seems fairly wide of the mark.

Anyway, enjoy your evening. I may well make it to the bottom of this bottle eventually.

  29. Disappointed but knew it was on the cards. We have a decent squad of players but feel we are not playing to our full potential because of tactics. I think we are in a serious rut
