a win is a win and that’s what counts with every Glasgow derby against thems , but how many times from a 2 goal lead do we end up in panic mode , defensively we defo need 2 taller better quality full backs and another dominant centre back to accompany CCV , Scales is back up at best.

I can only see CCV in that back line when the new season kicks off. Johnson was getting roasted in that first half.
Ralston was like a rabbit in the headlights when he came on, and he’s played in 9 derbies! Panic set in and it engulfed the whole stadium and we were lucky to get out with a win.
I’m glad it’s over, and delighted we won, but man, that last ten minutes was horrific!

the bears din and the kit room are hilarious, the “old firm2 results really do mean everything emotionally to them. and a simple fact is emerging again – no rangers manager will continue if they cannot beat celtic.

Philleeeep reckons it could have been 1-1 or 2-2 before the red card .
I think we now have a new supporter. My Scouse git mate took my ticket at the last minute and thoroughly enjoyed the game. He was already inclined towards us, after being in Scotland for a few years. He can’t believe how much the deid team are favoured up here. He’s all for the underdog or the cheated.

SO HAPPY TO WIN THE TITLE (ESP SINCE THEY DESPERATELY NEED THE MONEY) . But we got away with it this season – had rangers signed a striker at the turn and/or avoided the many many injuries they’ve had – I’m not sure the title would have been ours. The board gambled and we got away with it – make no mistake.
Also, praise for Rodgers getting every ounce out of this side – we are 5-6 players short of the standard expected – fortunately standards have dropped elsewhere.

Why do they give the media a stick to beat us every time, throwing shit at Tavernier at a corner.

If Matt sticks that penalty away , we end up at least 4-1 and there’s no nervy finish .
I think the long and totally unneccessary VAR delay plus Butlands gamesmanship , got to him .
We need to find a ruthless penalty taker with nerves of steel .

From 38,000 feet above the Bay of Bengal, yaaaasssss!!
Saw the first half and we bossed it. Outclassed them. Having our best players back was crucial and they missed theirs.
As predicted we played the football and they played the hoofball.
Wonderful achievement for Brendan after having to cope with the Ange hangover, truly abysmal summer recruitment and rotten luck with injuries.
Follow follow is an utter delight today.

Grest win. Totally dominated them until some time in the second half when some knee knocking set in. We done it in the end, another title all but in the bag. Another rangers manager preparing for his gardening scholarship.
What goes through some minds. Absolute bellends throwing coins & other missiles at taverner as he takes a corner. One metal object thrown looked like it would do a fair bit of damage had it struck anyone. These morons have just written tomorrow’s headlines for the hacks.

Agree. It was way harder than it needed to be. Result is all that Arteta at this point, but would’ve been a lot nicer to have won comfortably.
However, them hanging on until the end would obviously have kept their fans doing the same. And, for that I’m forever grateful.

If your primary thought are we got lucky this season and you are picking over the performances well it is an odd way to celebrate another championship.
We won. We beat them for 3 could easily have been 4.
The recruiting team are being replaced. Brendan is still a top tactical manager.
We go again for the cup final and I am certain the planning for next season is already in.
As a ps. I would find it hilarious if butland is player of the year tomorrow night. What an admission that would be.

Four areas for improvement next season:
1. Converting penalties.
2. Putting teams away when battering them.
3. Playing for 90 mins.
4. Defending our left side back post.

Boyd suggesting that throwing things only happens at Celtic Park. What about the glass thrown at Ibrox; what about the Celtic coach hit on the head there too. No defending it but to conveniently forget what has happened in Govan is just wrong. He said the last occasion was when Dallas was hit. Nonsense.

Hello ‘Darkside’ my old friends, we’ve come to torture you again.
A sparkling first forty five, saw Celts score twice to almost guarantee twelve titles from thirteen and the continuation of the anybody derby domination. Passed off the pitch, Sevco were late to arrive with their desperate variant of blow football, which could get real football stopped, if they’re not careful. A look at the team sheets was the first clue to who’d win, and so it proved, as Calum MacGregor bossed midfield from start to finish, after being teased back into the side by BR. It was sheer pressure and only a question of how many, not who could score, but who couldn’t haunted us into the second half, where sub Adam Idah was especially profligate, probably thinking ahead to his Rugby Park medal.
Celtic even won the weather, a sunshine swathed Parkhead is the place where the poor bhoys dance all the way through Glasgow and beyond, having witnessed solid performances from everyone, not one failure in the Hoops, all champions elect.

100% right about the back 4. CCV is the only one who should start next season. The amount of goals we have lost from high balls into the box is ridiculous. They win 2 headers in the box to score their goal. Even JH could have done better. That was their only shot on target.
