Brilliant from the Bhoys today. Got pulled down to their level and beat them there. The team were exhausted at the end. Fair play to them for making more of a game of it than I expected. What a season. Can’t wait to see the Bhoys Stateside.

Astonishing achievement by a ‘top top’ manager in Brendan Rodgers, steering Celtic through troubled waters with the players Ange Postecoglu left behind.
We waited and waited all season but Derby invincibility proved crucial for the double, and how fitting that ‘a Brendan Rodgers signing ‘ sealed the league, then the cup.
Humble pie for some bhoys, but another masterstroke to prize the best that would come, paid off big time. BR winter signings were better than whoever did the oversize summer shop, you only have to listen and look and listen tp know he’s good at his job, and his clever use of the players he trusts saw off our only close rival.
Lethargy didn’t stop Celts from having 70% of the first half, a ‘given all season’ handball patched by Walsh and Beaton was glossed over. Celtic defenders were calm on the ball and gave nothing but corners, and faint hope for Sevco. The back five including Hart were rock solid, Johnston was immense, as were Scales CCV, Taylor.
O’Riley and Hatate quiet today, but we had the better players fielded and benched, Forrest threatened once or twice but ran out of legs. Daizen Maeda a thorn in Sevco flesh had another typical game, tormenting tied up Captain Disappointed, their only real threat. Paulo Bernardo steadied the midfield left somebody called Raskin? for dead and sprang with fresh legs to hit a swerver, for Adam Idah’s entry into Kings Park heaven.
Awash with Hoops again, Glasgow’s Green and White.

We played the possession game in the first time, played through the press, but just took too long doing it, and allowed our opponents time to organise their defence, which they did effectively. No clear chances.
We got caught in a trap in the second, and were losing the midfield battle. Our substitutions made an impact, Idah helped in defence and we posed more problems going forward, Bernardo helped bring Matt into the game in the latter stages, and Adam showed he has the nous and the ability to be a match winner. Not an easy season for us, lessons to be learned, but we dug deep, and ended up as Champions and Cup Winners.
Both well deserved.

Congratulations to Brendan and the players. Even after a Ricky season we have wine the double. A brilliant achievement.
A special thank you and farewell to Big Joe and a special thank you and hopefully permanent welcome to the magnificent Adam Idah. Talk about a successful loan signing!
Let’s be honest, we were red rotten today. Joe, CCV, AJ and Greg T got pass marks in defence. Scales was ropey. I thought the midfield was largely terrible, except CalMac and Bernardo when he came on. Kyogo was poor, Maeda had good moments, Jamesy was solid and Kuhn was hopeless. Big Adam was a man amongst men.
We were rotten and still beat them. Baldy increasingly reminds me of Michael Douglas in Falling Down. I see him spontaneously combusting at some point in the near future. Excellent.
The huns were tactically better today, but it was mostly in the negative aspects of the game, stopping us. They were utter mince up top and this notion of them dominating us is laughable. They created zip the whole game. Again.
So we were rotten, they played at their best and we still, won. Long may it continue.

HASHADENOUGH @ 7:39 AM,
Very good point, BR has often held back on the officiating in Scottish football, intimating they are “amateur” is all very subtle, yet the cheating in Scottish Football doesn’t come in the subtle variety.
Hitting them hard, hitting individuals and getting Lawyered up to stick it to the SFA seemed to do the trick.
Wonder what Nick De Marco threatened them with that seen the Head of Refereeing resign and the rest tow the line (relatively speaking of course).
Enjoyed the game…
Great result for us, with a little more prowess in the final third the game would have been over as a competition in the first half, we were head and shoulders above them.
To be fair, their defence was very solid, having Balogun on the right of midfield to shore up Tavenier who was told to concentrate on defensive duties and set plays to keep our Japanese Dynamo in check.
However class prevailed and waiting to the nintieth minute to put the dagger through their hearts was a touch of genius, just wish they let the rest of us in on that…
Tough quest to find Jobo’s three, the greatest impact obviously came from the subs and while there were good performances, few outstanding and some below par….

Their defence was excellent today but it comes back to my earlier point that their objective was solely to stop us winning – while that can pay off, it isn’t sustainable and this season’s results at evidence of that.
