    Engels …

Wait till these guys run out on champions league night

    —————

Exactly! And, as Tom McLaughlin highlighted, will be great to get off to a winning start if we can pump Bratislava first game at home to set the tone. 😃👍🍀🍀🍀⚽️⚽️⚽️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🏆🏆🏆🍻🍻🍻

Straightforward win today , ref doing everything to keep the score done , any links to when Beaton pulled the play back when we were breaking forward, seemed outrageous at the game

That was another shocker. Rio was on the deck, Beaton allowed play to continue. 2 passes later maeda is breaking away, defence opened up before Beaton calls it back for a foul on hatate

I remember seasons ending 89 to 95. We didn’t even finish second. We were even fifth once.

Kasper schmichael will prove to be the signing of the season this year. His ability will win us points in the champions league. He is a throwback to the holy goalie

    4th

It rhymes with … Morth …. Which isnt even a word which sorts of fits since Rangers aren’t even a club

    🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

  7. Sort of agree with Brendan…

If big Scalesy looked more like Maldini rather than Shaggy out of Scooby-Doo everyone would think he was a superstar……but he’s our big superstar 👍

Not read back but I am positive our goal that got disallowed was on even after seeing lines.

    Anyone?

    D. :)

Thought it was onside at the time and ive still not seen anyhing that would convince me otherwise.

  9. This was a very comfortable win. And we will get better.

I thought momentum slowed with the substitutions which is understandable. Soon we have a very good squad all up to speed. Awesome thought which will depress our opponents.

I thought Kuhn was excellent, his workrate was phenomenal. He is improving all the time..

However, although im a happy clapper im not getting too carried away. Our opponents today were rank and no better than teams we face from the bottom half of the table.

    HH, the journey continues.

  10. My original prediction on Superbru was 3-0 but changed it to 2-1 when I heard who the officials were.

Not sure TinyTim how you came to the conclusion it would be 2-2 other than your usual pre match nervousness

  11. glendalystonsils on

I assume that better version of VAR that we see in the EPL where we are looking at a line going vertically across the pitch as if we are dead in line with play , is too expensive for the cash strapped SFA ?

The lines we get , looking from ahead of the play , are worse than useless and because of this , are open to abuse by the officials . I’m convinced that the better version would have shown Khun to be onside .

  12. Prestonpans bhoys on

I was watching a rerun of the game on Sky and the commentator said we’ll come back to the penalty claim. However calmac scored very soon after, I suppose Sky thought the incident was therefore irrelevant.

  13. All said, cant really get to excited about the officials.

We should have scored about 8 today. im sure that in the near future we will be taking all these chances.

    Awesome thought.

Not very soon. The game went on for about 1.5 minutes before the commentator said “var have confirmed nothing to see here timmy”

Eh no he actually said they were told his arms were against his sides but they would look later…

  16. Couple of takeaways from only the 4th game of the league season.

We are still not fully up to speed and very worryingly for the Hun , their bench looks brutally weak.

Good management from Brendan giving Luke and Arne a run out to hold onto what we had.

i dont watch the games if i dont have a ticket – all gets a bit too much for me – so i usually hide out in the garden with my cats (yes – i know) – just came into house – always give it 2 hours and always get cqn up to hear the news – good or bad – from the good guys – BIG JIMMYs comments were the first I saw – BIG JIMMY, you have made my day, week & month – hail hail

    *********

Just reading back and this mirrors my afternoon and feelings – well, except for the cats. Not a big fan of the cat, even though we have 5. Usually muck out or groom the donkeys for 2 hours then nervously peek at the last page of CQN to find out the score. Right enough, it’s often BIG JIMMY that I see first whooping and hollering about another victory for The Famous Glasgow Celtic.

Today was slightly different as Mrs S gave me live scoring updates although it took her a while to find me!

Now enjoying the read-back as per usual.

    Grand day all around 😄🍷👏🍀☘️🇮🇪🍾

  18. Brilliant win today, from Brendan and the Bhoys, Bernardo was outstanding, Maeda as well, not all about performance ,if we were on it that would have been 6 or 7.We will hammer a team 9 or 10 this season

  19. Without VAR no one questions Kyogo’s goal. Nobody

Not the referee, not the linesman who was trying to catch up to Kuhn, nor the opposition.

In fact the goal totally deflated the opposition since it followed a period when they had achieved some forward positions. The club must ask for clarification and for the evidence upon which the goal was disallowed.

Tynecastle nearly derailed us last season, key decisions, bogus decisions influenced the result. Today’s didn’t but it could have affected our forward momentum. True we might have scored more, but in the end it was a great result, with perfect timing. Good to see our newer players get some game time and be on the pitch at the final whistle. First cut is the deepest…

  20. Just home after a wonderful day I was in line and didn’t think Kyogo was offside we are officiated differently and the club have funds and ways to prove so and should just pointing this out. Off to my cot as up early for work in the morning.

Hail Hail God bless Celtic and you all.

Any news on the hand ball ?

Between the handball and Calmac ‘s goal the ball did not go out of play, VAR would only intervene when the ball went dead ( remember this happened to us at Tynecastle in very first ever VAR game). As soon as Calmac scored no need for VAR check as it would mean that goal would have to be overruled.

Whether the VAR check would ever have happened, well, I’ll leave that to everyone to have their own opinion!

  27. Just sitting here thinking …

    Not saw Unlicky Cody posting

Maybe NaeNightaijLisbon is still celebrating in the Grapes
