I’ll solve your puzzle.
Wilf system requires a lot of running effort and once the game starts to stretch a bit , the gaps start to appear in the back 3 , we are a forward looking team anyway now with one less forward.
It’s not rocket science teams look to play cagey first half and then push up second half where the gaps appear usually after 60 minutes.
It’s our tactical setup that’s the problem nothing to do with anything else you were alluding to.

I think i am just about in that small minority camp who think the least worst option is to give Wilfried Nancy (a.k.a. “The xG Killer”) some time and a few players.
Negative responses understood.
The evidence base to support the stance is pretty thin.
What might look like a high risk, high reward system to our manager has delivered few rewards so far in terms of outcomes at full time.
Don’t worry guys we are about to sign a winger for an Israeli club. He is currently injured, but should be available in a couple of weeks. This ig giving amateur hour a bad name.
Attempts to pull the 25% of small shareholders does not seem to be going too well, surely the silent 25% cannot be happy with Celtic being the plaything of the Desmond family. That itself should be a cause to rally around, of course maybe they are happy or couldn’t care less.

Following your thought process , we get someone who is better at scoring so perhaps the goals for column improves , defensively to play Wilfs formation with one Centre Half and two converted full backs as other members of the back 3 ; can’t see this flying given our budget constraints on buying defenders.
We’ll just get involved in high scoring basketball games and come a cropper against any decent opposition, Europe would be very scary.
We’ll just get can’t play modern professional football with only 3 defenders, two of which are a hybrid centre half / full back , it’s not going to work.

DB, I think you are being a bit unfair there, in basic football terms. If a defender, any defender, is facing opponents running at will towards, across, behind him it would be a miracle if he was able to even touch a ball once or twice never mind get a decent tackle in. These guys in blue yesterday are anything but world beaters, but they are professionals so give them time and space and they will more often than not create opportunities in front of goal. The outcome of that scenario is simply what we are watching, game by game.
A great example of this was Dundee Utd’s second goal up at Tannadice. Daizen seemed to win the ball in midfield and Liam Scales immediately moved forward wide left to be available for a forward ball, AS IS THE INSTRUCTION TO OVERLOAD in this system. Unfortunately in this instance Daizen failed to collect the ball, the oppo moved the ball forward immediately into the wide open space left by Scalsey (under instruction in this system remember!!!) and their forward ran in free and easy to score.
I will give Nancy a wee bit of credence here – this system absolutely does need a weeks of pre-season to bed it in. Therefore, why the hell did he introduce it in the first place and why the hell does he continue with it when he states openly he needs time to bed it in. Ergo, this is ALL on him!

They are useless in 1 on 1 duels as Nancy leaves them defending this way,weak tacklers if at all , the second goal was a total shambles, Ralston is taking a throw on the half way line the ball is played back to him by McGregor Ralston loses in the challenge the scorer is away runs 50 yards and sticks it in the net, he is is right side of a back 3 why is he ahead of the ball leaving us exposed even more? idiots running our team and players taking risks.
Pound for pound Nancy is the worst managerial appointment in Scottish football history.

As for the players, you can see they’re already done with this blithering idiot. From their tv interviews (or lack of them), body language on the pitch and demeanour when running the gauntlet of angry fans towards the team bus.
