  10. It’s been a long day – it’s the most fan mhedia I’ve watched on Youtube for quite some time.

Fans were magnificent today. Lot of great content from all corners of the ground. Awesome!

The team were absolutely on it. Mistakes were made, of course, but the attitude and energy was first class. it was easy to forgive and encourage, because the effort was non-stop. Some stand out performances, but hard to look past Maeda – the strangest talisman I can ever remember. Just wonderful to watch him defending from the front, pressing, harassing and causing mayhem. Then, when everyone is gassed, he’s the player chasing down loose balls in our defensive third. Magnificent that he got his first goal – natural striker instinct – but his second goal will be legendary!

    Wonderful day. Thank you Celtic!

  12. That was as good a last four days I can remember for quite a while

The Celtic nations are making their presence known politically

Old perfidious Albion is on the retreat In Ireland Scotland and Wales

History of Imperialism and colonialism is a heavy burden for those treacherous parties trying to win votes in the Celtic nations

Nothing won yet but Sunday was another of the cup finals the three contenders for the title had to win

Now there is Two, Celtic have momentum now, loved the atmosphere inside Celtic Park it was a real joy to play my wee small part

MO’N, Shaun and staff got the team attitude, mentality and belief instilled in the team perfectly yesterday we had no failures

However, we did IMO have a fantastic four led brilliantly by Captain fantastic, Maeda, Engles and Scales were the bedrock of that win yesterday, all four have had their critics

McGregor was just inspirational, fearless in his challenges, controlling, available to help teammates, urging, praising and yes he was pointing

Maeda proved it was indeed the correct decision to start him, many of the armchair/social media managers wanted Ian Archer, Maeda second goal will live long in the memory, if he has to go in the summer I will miss our Japanese Samurai he has been a great signing I hope the club treat him with respect this summer

Scales was immense a colossus, won just about every defensive header he contested, defensive awareness perfect read the play superbly

Arne Engles had his best performance this season, supported his captain in matching up the physicality of the opposition, Celtic controlled the important midfield area, a great run and cutback for the opening goal, a proper goal assist

With the Jambos drawing with Motherwell it certainly was a Carlsberg weekend

Time to move on and ignore KevJ posts, pile ons on anybody are not acceptable

I may call in to visit some old work colleagues today, I might even wear green

    aff oot

  13. A very good weekend for the good guys. I doubted if we had the minerals for yesterday’s game but we did and then some.

There was a grit and determination in some guys yesterday that has seldom seen if at all and it shows that ability alone is not enough without the correct attitude. A very strong team performances which was great to see and some individual class and skill in all three goals.

It is sad to hear the media round on the AJ challenge on torn face Moore – it seems Celtic cannot win without some faux controversy. He won the ball so cleanly and clearly the ref never even gave a foul. He won the ball with the outside of the foot he was there so early and never straightened his leg to to control the soles and strength of the challenge. He almost flicked the ball away from Moore of course there was contact but it was unavoidable unless AJ somehow was able to make his leg disappear after winning the the ball. As I understand the red card is given is “out of control”, “reckless”, “at pace” – it was clearly none of these things, it was a textbook challenge in modern football by a very good player.

Doesn’t stop them lining up screaming for the red card- pathetic they don’t know the rules but no surprise.

    Brilliant AJ and brilliant Celtic

  14. Halliday said it was a straight leg challenge utter garbage, nothing like it his leg was at about 70 degrees, that comment went unchallenged by Darren o dea who looks like the new bonner

  15. ADVERTISEMENT
  16. Genuinely didn’t see the AJ tackle at the game. Didn’t seem particularly bad.

Predictable that the media latch onto anything and everything they can.

My surprise was hat we received 6 yellows to the huns 2.

Great performance. Really worked for it, against a taller and more physical side. Still hoarse today.

Some overnight ramblings are an excellent advert for sobriety

    A very good morning CQN

Another wonderful day to be a Celt.

What a tremendous 3 weekends we’ve been treated to.

Thank you Martin, Callum, and everyone in the playing and coaching group.

    We’ve won nothing.

We might end up winning nothing.

I’m minded though of Martin’s first public speech to the fans in the summer of 2000 when he said he’d do everything in his power to bring some success …

… someone in the crowd shouts “That’s all we ask for” before the whole crowd erupts in thunderous applause and cheers.

BTW – the crowd inside Celtic Park were truly magnificent yesterday.

… the much maligned Liam Scales was outstanding and even took the time to help us into the lead with a beautiful chipped pass to get us into the lead.

    ——-

    Agree with this, Thunder.

I counted Liam losing just two aerial contests in the entire game.

One long ball and Miovski’s late chance (a slight weakness in Liam’s game – his speed of reset for the second phase .. but, to be fair, I think he was trying to cover two spaces)

His treatment of long throws into the box from their right, our left all game?

    Majestic.

  22. Taurangabhoy on

Back to basics agree Scales was outstanding. Started many of our drives into the hun box.

We got six card to their two because we were hungrier and the officials. Daizen and Yang, AJ and dare I say it McCowan provided the initial energy that spread to the whole team after Yangs goal. I didn’t see Engels feature however lots of opinions about his workrate, if not special moments mean he did his job in midfield.

Two more games to win for the most unlikely have dozen. Hail Hail.

🎶 Well his bags were packed he was ready to go, praise be to God, Brendan said no 🎶

Daizen Maeda joins the greats, the Henrik goal, the Naka goal, the Maeda goal. Many more besides, but Celtic’s percentage player clearly wanted to be world class in every overhead kick we do.

Arne Engels ‘no go’ was something we definitely got right in the winter of discontent, the rest of the window was again posted missing . Only one summer buy Benny Nygren £1.5M lined up verse Sevco’s ‘unacountable’ millions, and MON made one surprise switch with Luke taking over from Seb, till half time.

Not a failure in this side after a shoogly start Paul67’s ‘stable base’ hadn’t bolted, and we were off and running like the old Celtic. Peak Yang another blocked transfer ( at you know who’s behest ), scored the leveller and set us up for the sweetest thing.

AJ is a difference maker so to a fit KT Celtic’s £25M Bosman, both full backs were immense. If the national broadcaster could only learn that Arne is Belgian not German, and it’s Raskin not Raskaaaan Scotland would be a better place.

SMSM continue the press from Hertz non penalty to AJ’s non red card, in a well worn tired script. MON has a quiet word with Willie no public glare, all ship shape and Celtic fashion, our ‘reward’ is Beaton and Dallas for Wednesday.

The gods may yet be smiling on the righteous MON and his effect, gives Celtic from flat on the canvas, a Benny Lynch’s chance.

    MOM Daizen Maeda 🇯🇵

    What a brilliant clip.

The reactions of Auston and Vil tell you everything about how connected this group are.

Reminded me of Stephen McManus’ reaction at Nakamura’s free kick versus Man Utd.

I could watch that clip all day.

    If you will?

Put yourselves in the shoes and minds of the R2ngers players on the pitch.

Time slows down as the ball arcs

You are frozen to the spot just watching the trajectory

.. and so are facing your own goal

Ball hitting the net is a metaphorical dagger

… immediately followed by a gigantic green and white eruption from on high that your eyes cannot avoid.

Watch their body language in the last 20 seconds of the clip.

Yip heard that last night also – just a complete falsehood but no one challenges it and it becomes fact🤬🤬

On the way home yesterday I heard Kevin’s say it was the same as the challenge on AJ at Hibs last week – what utter garbage – McGrath got nothing on the ball and AJ won in cleanly and clearly but that doesn’t fit the Ragers are hard done too bullshit we get in every game against them…….
