  1. Come on Celtic, Lucky top on, old campaign scarf at the ready, bottle of Connemara opened, one glass already quaffed to calm the nerves, wife banished to another room.

The scene is set for a memorable night/

Come on Celtic – Come on!!

Nerves are choking me already, this is abnormal behaviour for a man of my age.

Sadly, not that abnormal if you are a Hoops fan.

    ;-(

Still….a couple of early goals and they soon dissipate. Here’s hoping!!

  3. Back from the office!

Had a wee chuckle driving home as I asked Siri to play something by a certain band. Can’t say what happened in case I offend somebody but I can confirm Siri is a rebel to the core.

Guinness in hand, TV primed. Here we go bhoys.

    from my bruv:

na, it’s not on regular telly, which surprises me, as doesn’t ESPN hold the rights? Send the guy to Rosie McCaffrey’s, on Camelback Road and 7th St – just west of the 51.

That’s the official CSC for Phoenix

Hope you get this on time.

  5. First question to Neil: How much did that OF defeat at Ibrox hurt?

Utterly pointless, referring to a game from months ago. Dreadful journalism…

  6. Will be stuck in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin (Dublin) for match, wee man got vomiting bug on Stephens day they always keep him in for obs due to previous several heart surgeries, no wireless bb and anyway Waybuloo taken over the laptop, Mummy has done 48 hours straight so in order to keep my free wkend at the Bigotdome in march I’ll do my duty tonight for little warrior boy Conor and keep up with proceedings via CQN, cheers Paul

  7. I’m genuinely proud to be sober for almost 10 months but a wee half bottle of voddie would be oh so nice now.

Of course, win, lose or draw it would turn into a litre, but ny nerves are jangling.

  8. Nuclear Bovril and a Half Munched Pie on

BFDJ sporting an interesting auberinge rinse on Sky there.

    Beat them Celtic.

  9. Just found it. For anyone else who does not know it :

CELTIC TEAM TO PLAY RANGERS: Forster, Matthews, Rogne, Mulgrew, Ledley, Brown, Kayal, Wanyama, Forrest, Hooper, Samaras

    Stay as you are mate.

My Dad was over 30 years sober when he passed away earlier this year.

I was so very proud of him for the way he turned his life round and by extension how it came about that those of us closest to him found our lives changing… for the better.

  11. EDB –

Thank you, same thoughts back to you and yours. Never made it down today, so sitting in front of the gogglebox with a small beerlet and some of KP’s finest. See healthy, see me!!

    ToneLoc –

All the best to the wee man, tell him to get well soon.

  12. Jelavic had the better of Rogne in the League Cup Final, but only because the ref gave him a freekick every time Thomas touched him and then he had to stand off. This is another reason why Gollum is their most important player tonight.

  13. Like the look of our line-up. Plenty of strength in the middle of the park. Powerful looking bench too, in contrast to the threadbare collection of lame ducks sitting on the opposite bench. Getting more confident by the minute. Might be the Talisker mind!!

  14. Partizan – Well done, onwards and upwards. Family member keeps a cactus on the mantle piece, never needs a drink!

Team for tonight IMHO spot on, no hindsight changes for me in the aftermath

God speed the Bhoys in Green

Thanks mate. Determined to beat the drink. Just had ‘a moment’ when I thought how good a drink woulld be right now.

But no worries. As I said I couldn’t stop at a wee half bottle (why do I always think of a half bottle as ‘wee’) :)

  18. Fishermans Friend on

If we defend set pieces and keep Davis quiet then they offer very little else.

    just can’t get enough
