GFTB – It’s a wonderful life and you Sir are a genius gentleman.

Only thing disagree about is when Celtic get beat, or draw even regardless of the opposition.

Does my head in it does.

Blessed are the meek and humble and all that there and all.

One aspect of today’s game that was both crucial to the result, and made the game great to watch, was the team’s composure.

Toms goal displayed a piece of the sublime skill that we are coming to expect from him, and was a clinical finish.

The other three goals though, showed great composure by Calum, Moussa and Olivier. Amongst a few fellow Tim’s, my moniker for McGregor, is “The Stroker”. That Moniker refers to his metronomic receiving of the ball, followed by a caressed pass forward, usually to a teammate in his role as a midfielder. However it is also an apt title for his goal scoring. He is calmness personified in front of goal, and has scored big goals in big games.

Brown and NtCham both played very well and rag-dolled the Govan Doppelgängers midfield in a relaxed fashion. This calmness spread to the rest of the team, and even Lustig and Boyata, both jittery of late, were able to bask in this calmness, growing in stature, and both turned in much improved, solid performances.

Wee Jamesie was also calm in possession and had a solid game, as did Ajer and KT.

Moussa had his best game in a long time. He is strong as an Ox, and showed great pace today.

Finally, well done to Craig Gordon. His recovery from injury in such a short time, and to return to the team in such great form, is great credit to him.

Calmness is a great attribute in pressure games. It allows players to make better choices, make cleaner tackles and take more chances.

The team and coaching staff deserve high praise for that performance today, and it gives me hope that they can negotiate the nerve shredding CL qualifiers they will face this summer.

Onwards to Scottish Football’s first ever Hextuple.

    Ajaxbhoy

If you need a ticket for any match, you are welcome to my seat. You need to see more Celtic in the flesh. Any match Ajaxbhoy. Even the huns game or European game.

    See more Celtic ???

    ———————————————–

A European night would be fantastic, that for me is the one experience missing. I saw an OF game when it really was so; a birthday gift from my Grandpa. A memory forged in my mind along with Jinky hitting the match winning penalty at Hampden. In short order though, I’ll get my chance to see the ground and its inner workings, walk the path of many we’ve admired, sit in the dugout, and just drink in the atmosphere. Then an actual game where I’ll get to hoist my scarf and sing YNWA with the rest. Sorry for the gush DD, but this is a bucket list item after all. HH

  5. That was a high pressure game for Celtic. They Sevconians had nothing to lose really.

Celtic were dynamite, especially in the first half.

    Moussa was Mega.

    Callum was Calmness and relentless.

Browny was Slowing down Time itself with the way he owned the game.

Olivier was menacing and I reckon he wanted to really rub it in but the Celts decided to just settle for a comprehensive victory.

Craig in goal was Superb. That Save. WOW.

    Kieran – Powerful.

Dedryck has had a tough time lately, he done well.

    Tom Rogic with superb skills.

Every Celt contributed so much to a very well deserved win.

    Fantastic.

Morelos miss will haunt the dude. It was a giggle… If only they had taken the Money when it was on offer. No harm to the dude.

    Dave King must stay.

Neil you get yerself and Hibs 2nd place.

  6. Barry BurgerVans jibber jabber about 10 men might be getting some traction.

    Celtic

One thing that stood out to me, with the Cameras LIVE.

    3 minutes of stoppage Time.

If that was a game @ Celtic Park and Celtic way ahead – 1 minute.

    Just apply the rules cheats.

    HMMMMMM

Bobby you Refereed it fair. Huns got spanked.

    The Camera was on.

  7. Sitting in Paris airport grinning like a Cheshire Cat thinking of yesterday’s hunskelping.

I have always said play Moussa against them as he truly is a hunskelper and BHOY he delivered.

Huns waking up to the fact that no amount of bullshit and praise can turn that squad into footballers.

Have being saying since the blue wonderboys introduction that he is a Diddy in the Buomsong Mould and a lot of the Huns have twigged this.Level5 is going to have to do a lot of work to silence the Hun forums if selling McCrorie is part of the master plan.

As for Deadly Alfie M he has to stay as he is a true Celtic asset.Does he stay behind to put in extra work on missing sitters? They will do well to get a million for.

And to think some pundits had him better than Moussa?

Rum ours that Brendan was going to give the team a day off today but canceled as they had no work on Sunday.

Still bliddy shattered from all the singing and dancing down the boozer yesterday. But well worth it!

That’s as comprehensive a gubbing as I can remember in a long time, you got the feeling we could have scored any time we wanted. Just turn the screw a bit, bang. Even our token hun in the pub sneaked out at half-time,but fair play to him for lasting that long!

If I’m honest,we were mibbe a bit flaky at times in defence, especially against Morelos’ pace, but really that’s all he’s got. And yesterday that was all they offered. Overall,we simply bossed them, and I certainly wouldn’t try to improve on The Official SANDMAN Ratings from earlier.

I’m also 100% in agreement with JMCCORMICK re Murty. He’s been hung out to dry, thrown under a bus,you name it,by that shambles of a board. To be honest,I can’t recall him trashtalking Celtic, and I certainly hope his next employer appreciates him more.

  19. Don’t you hate it when you have a song stuck in your head for ages? I had it stuck in my head at tea time, then as I went to bed. I woke up with it stuck in my head and I’m on my way to work singing it to myself.

“Na na na na na na na, Andy Halliday, Halliday, Andy Hallidaaaaay”

Btw, congratulations to the BBC sound engineers who had the mic positioning and levels just right for that to come over loud and clear on the radio…
