I have no doubt that the Rennes coaching staff have studied videos of our games.
Corner placed in area being attacked by five Rennes players against a static defence. Corner not whipped in but floated to the desired spot.
Anyone think our coaching staff have learned anything. Zonal no more??

The majority of professional clubs operate zonal marking.
Zonal marking isn’t bad per se but they way we do it is. You don’t have to mark the man but at least defend the ball. We don’t do that and that allows forwards to get into the space and get the jump on our defenders.

Craig Burley is my least favourite person in the world but he’s right about zonal marking and spot on about coaches not learning their lessons.
The defensive coach(es) whoever he or they are at Celtic have not learned their lessons for a long time now and they have to take huge amounts of responsibility. Whoever it is (I don’t know if it’s Mjallby or not) has to go, and quickly.

I can’t see how Forster could be blamed for that goal. The ball was outswinging, he’d have been well stuck coming for that one.
