Just a wee reminder that had we a decent (fit) centre forward against Hearts we would have been ahead – maybe by a couple – within the first 20 minutes.
Instead Maeda missed one good and one brilliant chance. Had he scored either, let alone one, then IMHO we’d have won that game.
Tonight we’re playing a different level of team and are getting thumped but have scored an own goal and missed a penalty and a great chance. That’s down to players, no one else.
Truth is no-one can say yet if WN is going to succeed here or not.
But, the board were very clearly wrong.

So far,a half-fit Iheanacho looks a physical upgrade on a wantaway Maeda.
The lunacy of getting players to deploy a fresh game plan – when the one they’ve been using was doing ok and against a really well-drilled and strong Roma side – is evident.

Tisedale scouted the worst winger ever and we paid 5m after losing CL qualification round.
