A plastic pitch on Saturday, team selection will be very interesting.

Surely there are enough midfielders to cover for Calmac missing a game?

Me too. The more games the better, he thrives on game time. Griffiths sharpness will improve both on off the park.

Whomever he’s fornicating with will be wondering what’s what tonight. Roll on the next match :-)

  3. Deniabhoy…………

How many of the huns goals are down to Tav’s traditional penalties?

  4. Philbhoy– my extended household were saying the same thing Turnbull was playing well, why the feck sub him and he was MOTM.

    D :)

A comfortable enough win but we’re not going to put much of a dent in the sevco goals difference playing like that .

Especially in the second half when we seemed to find a wee bit more space . A few incisive passes up to their 18 yard line , then recirculate , and 15 passes later you’re back where you started .

Add that to Eddy either sclaffing shots or firing straight at the keeper . An Eddy/Griff partnership might work given time but Klimala is twice as fit as Griff and a touch less greedy as a foil to Eddy. he would do more to drag defenders away from Eddy with his selfless running . Not denigrating Griff who I love BTW , but he should be on the same fitness regime as Patryk .

  6. Ernie Lynch,

I agree with you. I thought at ft in the Final the joy was unconfined from every single one of them, the likes of Eddie included. I thought tonight, while not the best (by any means) we can perform, everyone was giving their all.

  7. DAVID66

!!BADA BING!! posted to protect him from injury following his recent long lay off.

I think he needs 90 minutes.

He seems to stroll through games.

He reminds me of Paddy Crerand but with a bit of pace!(Sorry Paddy!)

It is players like him who are Celtic’s future.

We just need a manager who sees that.

  8. Baffling subs.Frimpong is not my favourite but I thought he showed well tonight and didn’t hide.In my opinion obviously

  9. FAIRHILL BHOY

I’d rather have Mikey than Jeremie any day.

    Wee Frimpong flatters to deceive.

His end ball is well, usually the end.

    Nuff said.

  10. Fairhillbhoy,

Wee JF never hides, its just his maddening lack of consistency when he gets to the byline.50% success rate would be acceptable,he is not getting near it.His assist was brilliant,do it more he is a superstar.

  11. I don’t drink on a night during the week unless Celtic are playing.

    So……………..an early night for me.

    Good night and God bless!

  12. Not sure why some watch celtic!!… I enjoyed it… No comparison to previous Ross County game…. We made loads of chances even near the end….. The same performance with two more goals and everyone (well most obviously not everybody!).. Would have been chuffed

  13. JOBO

    Soro and Turnbull so far.

Canny make my mind up about who else.

It won’t be Christie or OE so my choice is limited.

    I may be a while.

  14. Bada – thur guid fortune continues.

If we keep within reasonable touch, and are able to capitalise on their misfortune, I’l be happier…

  15. With the squad available at the moment I would play 4 3 3 every game press middle to front as we cant defend anyway so give it a go, im sick of watching players cutting in when the have grass and space to run into but double back and play it square, Chrisite Ntcham Rogic all guilty get the ball forward into channels for runners give a defence things to think about.

We overplay , overpass the ball and let every team regroup goal side.Soro can certainly read the game and break up play looks a good player.

  16. garygillespieshamstring on

The hun are in league with the devil.

No other explanation for every team they play being missing players due to Covid.

  17. Frimpong doesn’t hide. But just doesn’t seem to have a football brain.

Considering he was at Man city. His decision making is shocking.

  18. Vinniethedog

The main problem watching Celtic at the moment is defence. No matter how well we are playing, even if we’re 2-0 up at half time, we all know (and I would guess even you) that most times the opposition attack, even if it’s only 3 or 4 times during the entire game, there’s MORE than a 50/50 chance they’ll score. It all makes for very uncomfortable viewing.

If we can sort the defence, which is ABYSMAL, we’ll win most of our games.

    Defence includes goalie of course

  19. David 66

Don’t take this the wrong way but you can top up the boiler pressure yourself.

I’m useless around the house but we got a new boiler last year and we had to top it up. I searched my boiler make on you tube and there was a video how to do it. Hope this helps.

    KEEP THE FAITH

  20. Hello again all you young rebels.

Three points and a clean sheet, that’ll do me.

    TONTINE TIM

Thank you for the contribution regarding the non completed

Glasgow Cup final, I was at that one as well and thought Paul Wilson

was our next huge super star, not quite, but a great player.

And the abuse he suffered that day was shameful but from Der hun

    sadly expected.

Will pass on the info to my mhate as well as the one from Winning Gemmell.

Hope he wins a bet or whatever with the info.

    H.H. Mick

  21. Sean Thornton

    Nail on head

Particularly Soro. He knows where his pass is going before he receives the ball. Classy player

  22. We go backwards to often, to slow in the attack even when teams attack us, we give them time to get back by constantly passing backwards.

    D :)

  23. A win is a win ,but that was a bore .

Why don’t we have agressive possession instead of passive possession

This across the field passing bores the life out of me

  24. GGH…………..

    thur at it……………

an’ thur helped…………….by fans everywhere in scoddland.

    Hell Mend Thum.

  25. Frimpong should be considered as a right winger come right MF in a 5,and not as a full back IMO

  26. DAVID66

Snap..no hot water for crimbo.Bloomin Alpha boilers gubbed..again.at least central heatings ok.

Yer right why move Ajer..was playing well at rb..someone else mentioned him and Big Julie to stop moaning to refs..taking a hit and gettin on with it much more inspiring to players around you

  27. glendalystonsils on

Still swithering over a final selection but so far it’s Turnbull , Soro ,(could easily be the other way round) and Ajer or Calmac . Could easily have had Mikey Johnson in there too if he had been on a bit longer .

Christie(every 20th shot a wonder goal , the other 19 a mile over the bar) disappointing , as was Laxalt and Frimpong who refused to repeat the trick of getting to the byline despite demonstrating at the goal, how effective it can be.
