  1. not long in from the game

    good 3 pts.

ajeti took his goals well but his movement is poor, far to easy to defend against made it difficult to pass to with his lack of movement.

CCV looks like he is carrying a bit of timber but can defend and pick out a forward pass.

jota some nice touches but needs to improve his finishing.

    starfelt just don’t see it.

  2. should have mentioned very good save from our keeper and his determination to get the ball back into play is refreshing to watch.

  3. Smashin wee night down

the Clyde last night at the Greenock Celtic Club for a night with Jackie Mac.

Lots of good Tim chat about where the club is currently.

General opinion is that we’ve got a good, decent and more than competent man in charge.

Unfortunately, like so many before he’s surrounded by self serving puppets who hold us in disdain.

It’s 3 points, we move on with Ange and our hooped heroes.

    Sack the board.

  4. Go tell the Spartim on

    Philbhoy

I’ve never been but my pal speaks highly of it, maybe the club could do a pre season tour, place would be jumpin

I would suggest the Celtic support are largely better informed and more suspicious than before.

I would still expect an adult discussion around our structure and direction of travel.

Would be good for CQN to carry such am article tomorrow.

    The alternative would be disappointing

Pre game I was thinking how much McCann and Preston sounded like the sevco cheerleaders that they are on bbc Scotland. Post game it is so interesting to hear how Bonner comes across.

I always gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was just totally thick and clueless about football. I realise now he is those things but maybe also reads the daily record or the sun to know what to actually say.

I do wish any Celtic fan who knows him and Walker would actually politely point out that they lose every ounce of goodwill they ever achieved as players with this sad behaviour.

  11. honest question –

any sports studies people out there ?

what is the post international syndrome about –

A : It doesn’t exist, the fans imagine it

    B: psychological

C: Running constantly for 90 mins + knackers you oot

D: you don’t have the dynamic psychology group brainwashing of training.

  12. Interesting to see that the top 5 men’s tennis players in the world all pay attention to the top medical advisers that they employ personally and won’t take vaccines into their body which they don’t need to and which have not been thoroughly trialled for normal period.

Interesting to also hear them suggesting it should be a matter of personal choice.

I wonder why these intelligent and well advised young men, whose health and fitness is critical to their earning capacity, chose to act this way ?

I wonder also why the Edinburgh icu covid ward last night was 95% full of obese patients over 45 years old. Age groups who are over 90% double vaxed ?

  13. JM – there’s also the travelling which was hy I was surorised to see Rogic start.

And as it’s a zero sum game, the opposition have 2 weeks to rest, train, sort out tactics and get properly focussed.

I have been told tonight that a good friend of mine, an anti vaxxer, with your views on covid, is in hospital, suffering from covid and is in a coma.

    I hope he makes it.

It’s ok, it’s ok; stop turning in your grave. The club was set up to help the needy

I suspect you may be right.

Oddly, were sevco to lose their CEO in similar circumstances, I would have expected an article at 10am today!

I realise we prefer to avoid any self analysis on here.

    Pity.

  17. Settling down to watch Emma in the final at Arthur Ashe on this momentus anniversity. Good luck and God bless her…and her opponent – and of course, God Bless America.

I can’t say that I have heard very much of Packie Bonnar on the radio – all I would say is that I know he is a Tim through & through. It must be remembered that he is employed by the BBC to be an impartial pundit, not a Celtic cheerleader What I have heard from him backs this up. To say he is anti-Celtic is preposterous.

Everyone is entitled to their own view of course, but personally I find the lambasting and name-calling unsavoury, undeserved & unnecessary.

    Hi BURNLEY78

We have touched on this before. For a complete picture, we should look at other intelligent and well advised young men, whose health and fitness is critical to their earning capacity, who chose not to be vaccinated, and now bitterly regret it. Here’s one example – Newcastle’s goalie.

  19. from my seat in the stand watched kyogo go up the tunnel at half and full time , not sure if his knee was strapped up or wearing a support but he was hobbling badly.

  20. Hart is a good keeper and he makes saves, how nice is that.

Croat was up agains their best player and struggled at time to impose self in game, but early days.

Taylor is a hard working player but his lack of pace, poor passing and poor crossing is a real handicap to the team. When does the experiment end?

CCV looks like a unit read game well and has a turn of pace that belies his size.

Starfelt is ropey whenever he has the ball at his feet. early days and some players take more time than others.

Mcgregorynwas not his usual self but kept things ticking alone, surprised he was hooked when Turnbull and rogic were so poor.

Abada is a very dangerous player, I think the team need to make better use of his real strength I.e. pace and directness. He needs to use his pace more and skill less. At his age he will only get better.

Jota looked very good 1st half but faded second half, in fairness his first competitive game of the season. Hopefully his finishing and final ball will improve. He looks like he will be a handful for fullbacks.

Ajit’s movement in the final 3rd looks limited but once we started to get thr ball into the box he was on the move and in the goals. Play to his strengths by getting the ball into the box and we will score goals. Dont ask him to run the channels.

Montgomary is a young kid, but what I see I like. He has a superb first touch which buys him time and it allows him to be composed. A trait all good players have. He drives forward with purpose and tries to make things happen be also goes and challenges for the ball. He can be a very good player but will need to get the game time to develop.

McCarthy showed good composure and a nice range of passing when he came on.

Soro done well enough when he came on but can be clumsy and I think I prefer him further up the pitch where he can use his energy with less risk.

  21. RC

    He wasn’t assaulted in Scotland.

He was injured in a n international match abroad.

    It happens.

Started the all Ireland hoping Mayo would win. Finished up happy fir Tyrone and the North of the island generally. Not all folks in the south are free staters but their commentary teams and establishment most definitely are and I always get the impression certain strands of 26 County society don’t regard the Irish people of the 6 counties as quite the same.

    Maybe I’m wrong……

Feel for Mayo but we’ll done Tyrone

    =========================

    Interesting observation Robert.

And one that will come more into focus as the ireland32 debate heats up.interestingly if we were pre rising the bias towards the north would open and and pro(planter) from Dublin.Today as you observe there is still subtlety in its language to the North, sometimes to point with some of them you wonder if they are ready to unite with their fellow Irish men.

I say that sitting in Donegal,an old aunt who was active politically here used to say it was the forgotten County,to many papes for North and to remote for Dublin to control,so was always subject to snidery from both. All legacies of being England’s first colony,

    Hope your good
