If you look at the faces of the Sevco supporters, you see how embarrassed even they are, especially the woman in the blue jerkin who blows out her lips and looks at other supporters as if to say, ‘not really a penalty, but we’ll take it’.

The main reason the blog had been good reading for the past two days is due to :-
a) A good poster asking a question about early part time jobs and getting some good nostalgic responses ( noticeably not from the posters now congratulating themselves and the Moderator for the improvement)
and
b) Celtic getting a good result so the moaners took a break
It has nothing to do with moderator intervention, or to any increase in civility from the usual suspects, or for allowing the right to a political opinion to those who do not share Celtic values.
If we were ever allowed a democratic vote on who we wanted to listen to and engage with on here then Big Jimmy would be much higher up in that poll than I would be and higher up than any of those who bad mouthed him today or who think they have found or created a safer space for expressing anti-immigrant right wing views on a valued piece of Celtic cyberspace
For the sake of sanity bring Big Jimmy back ,a contributor of sense ,especially when we allow another back who is a disruptive element.HH
If anyone on here has Twitter or the like , I urge you all to share that penalty decision from madhun today with your friends , especially down south as I think it needs viewed by as many football people as possible . A terrific performance by the team yesterday with all the players doing their bit. I thought Carl Starfelt was excellent yesterday. .
Maeda gives us so much energy and eagerness to do well for the team. Giorgios could have wilted after that Livi game but he has shown great mental strength to come back into the team and go on his scoring run. He really riled the Ross County centre backs , Baldwin and Iacovitti , yesterday with the former aiming a kick at Giorgios off the ball during the first half .
Mackay is the perfect man to be the next Hearts manager . He is in the same mould as Jeffries, Levein and Nielsen . A moaning, greetin , torn faced man.

There are no customers on here. The site is free to use. There are very few site rules. Big Jimmy was banned previously for breaking the rules. He was allowed back on. I assume he broke the rules again and was therefore banned again. I’m not sure that he has much cause for complaint.
Maybe a bit less self entitlement by those petitioning for his return might not go amiss.

Marspapa, they also missed out Ross County’s Callachan deliberately barging into Carter-Vickers , near the end of the game . Callachan and Mackay were complaining about the foul being awarded. From my view it looked a dangerous challenge by Callachan.

All good here … hope C is feeling better, one of my big sisters tested positive yesterday as well and feels garbage …. Covid has effected many families the last few years but you know me always trying a take the glass half full approach now “hybrid” working so only 2 days a week in the office … every cloud and all that … by the way I never got asked that “are you a Hun” when I first joined the site 7yrs ago so cheers I know feel accepted :-)

I said the same to the guy next to me after about 10 minutes. There had already been about 3 or 4 kicks on our players after the ball was away. Tbh, I was quite surprised. I don’t associate Ross County with that sort of “play”. Maybe Malky McKay is to blame.

I also think Starfelt is a far better defender than some people think, as you know I love Maeda and the effort he puts in, actually a very good return in goals as well, I am looking forward to the day him & Kyogo are in the same line up …. On Starfelt there was a good wee interview on Tic TV and he seems to think Juranovic is the loudest player in the dressing room, Carl seems to be loving his time with us … just hope CCV stays as the two of them seem to be building a very good understanding, and at Celtic our centre halves are so important as they are probably the most exposed part of our team …. Hence easy targets when a mistake is made

My feelings as well. I have never met Mckay and for all I know he is a great guy but the impression I have taken is that he is a phoney who promotes the idea the `Fitba` is a Man`s game` ie violence before skill.

The ref was poor yesterday.i would like to think if the RC player had been given a yellow it may have tempered the challenge that got him the red.
Alas not,incidences occur and no action is taken imo gives a nod to the cluggers to go full on into players,and they don’t hold back.we pulled them all over the place.

I thought Celtic were very good yesterday full of movement and energy all over the pitch, their keeper kept the score down and seemed to constantly waste time, goals aplenty the way we are playing, onto the next game .
Not in the least surprised that a limited, physical team put the boot in, it’s referees that don’t deal with it is the issue.

Looks like Maeda has pulled out of the Japan squad…
Japan Times journalist Dan Orlowitz tweeted this morning that Japan’s FA had announced the forward had taken himself out the squad yesterday.
He tweeted: “The JFA announces that Daizen Maeda has withdrawn from the Japan squad for fitness/condition reasons. No replacement planned.”
The withdrawal isn’t thought to be injury-related, with the reporter tweeting again that Maeda was due for media duties within the next 24 hours.
I am quite sure the majority of posters on here would like Big Jimmy back on the Blog.
I didn`t see the posts that led to his ban but, remember ,that to err is human and to forgive,divine.

Canny disagree with any of that, I remember more of Strachan playing for Leeds than Aberdeen & Man Utd, I think when Brendan was in charge Johnny R came really close to signing for us, not sure what happened but think his dad was celebrating as he thought it was a done deal…. He has still made a terrific career out of things and by all accounts enjoying the lifestyle over in the MLS …. going to be a long international break, wonder if after this we might see Kyogo in the squad for 3rd April …. That would be just lovely

I saw Strachan playing against us quite a few times and he did get a lot of stick from our fans . This was partly because he was an annoying wee nyaff but also because he was a great player who gave us no end of problems .
Good news about Maeda, so long as it’s nothing serious and he just needs a rest.
I’d be sorely tempted to go with Maeda on the left and move Jota out right for Ibrox. I’d also start GG – 8 goals in his last 3, it would be nearly impossible to drop him, his physicality should help us defending set pieces as well.
Harsh on Abada who skinned Barisic last time out. I don’t think Kyogo comes straight back into the side. Even if he’s fully fit, old match fitness comes into it. Excellent options from the bench though.
Really looking forward to the game, it’s an opportunity to really break the back of this league campaign and I’ve no doubt Ange will be going for the win.

Think that top 3, with Maeda and Jota switching, is the one to start at the bigotdome.
I’d go for mobility in the midfield – Hatate, McGregor and O’Riley (over Rogic).
Juranovic up against Kent for pace. Think their fat Colombian is waddling on fumes currently but will be put on to win them frees (they will expect set pieces to unsettle us and our still our achilles).
All being well, we should have a bench with Turnbull, Rogic, Kyogo, Abada and others to bring on.

I don’t think Ange has any choice regarding GG, starting Kyogo would be a risk. I’d start GG and look to get Kyogo on for 30m in the second half. Defence really picks itself and the only option in the middle of the park is O’Riley or Rogic. Only positions up for grabs are that creative midfield role and whether Abada comes back in.
