In Armstrong it seems like there is a mix of can’t be bothered and scared. It’s a shame as I do think he had ability.
Lots of possession, several chances. Passing could be better. I’d like to see us support the ball carrier more. Too often we move away from him. Comfortable First half. Score doesn’t tell the story
Griff gives Ronny breathing room.
But let’s not gloss over the fact that this is a very poor performance.
The team and coach should have been fired up and motivated.
We saw neither.
A team devoid of purpose,plan or direction.
Not sure how this fit in with the current CQN narrative but we are in an even game with a poor / limited RC team at home after a run of poor results.
We are rapidly becoming a laughing stock.
Half the team aren’t good enough and half don’t seem to care.
NB take a bow — you are in both categories with another Krazy Legs Krane non performance.
Add in SA phoning it in / SJ is at his headless chicken worse and JF is running about with a GMS mask on.
RD — it is finished.

I’d say 3 -1 on chances but Ross County very tidy on the ball under pressure whilst we are untidy.
Still Baltic but the goal keeps my minus 2 met alive. Big Maxim and Rogic on and Armstrong and Johansen to male way – only my opinion mind you.
We are in a game here.
No lack of effort, against a very robust team.
If we keep our energy levels up and with a bit more composure in the final third, we should be ok.
Once again, the value of getting behind the defence fron the wings has been demonstrated.
Erik will have to watch out for the, shall we say, erratic decisions from ref Clancy. I don’t trust him.

Was amazed Deila persisted with some of these characters today. Youd think self preservation would kick in ? But no, he persists with the same style and personel.
Even the ability to try something new is stifled with the selection of subs.
Started well enough but missed a couple of chances. RC playing a pass and foul formation that had our players worried. We haven’t won a challenge so far. The crowd got hostile to the players just before ht and the goal saved an embarrassing level of boos. Can we hold out?

Against this kind of team – let’s go two up top – Griff & CKR and go more direct – GMS, Armstrong and Johansen off – Forrest, CKR and Mulgrew on.

Not a great game. But not as bad as some in Upper North are making it out to be.
Guy behind me says repeatedly that their keeper hasn’t made a save. I’ve counted four. Including a pretty good one from GMS.

Johansen improvement, but not back to last season yet.
Tierney excellent again. Took on his man when others would have played it safe.

Sing when you are winning and moan and whinge and do all you can to shatter your team’s confidence when you are not winning.

I’ll say it again imo Armstrong THINKS he’s done all the hard work to get signed for the Hoops.
Someone needs to let him know the hard works starts NOW.
I’ve been a supporter of RD. But i’m seeing basic basic football tactics ignored. Look when we scored! not one player raised his arms with joy. Something is seriously missing , wrong. These players are not happy. Tactically we have no width , no intention to penetrate their box from those positions. RD like players like GMS, Armstrong, Johansen etc to pick the ball up and run from deep – only works when we have a big player up front who can shield the ball and play off.
I’m worried about our performance levels , energy , spirit – those players are not enjoying their football.
RD stubborness will a) get him sacked or b) lose us the league.
I’m an optimist but i’m very very concerned right now!
The question has been asked over the past 7 years — just when would the happy clappers see the light?
When would they realise that we are a rich mans plaything and his bag carrier is being paid handsomely to keep the lights on and nothing else?
How much worse can it get?
We will be heading soon to crowds of 20K at CP.

the midfield lacks BITE. I’d even try Izzy at left back and Tierney left mid/wing. He can get forward and like to make a tackle .
An excellent first half score against a team that was sitting fourth in the league before the weekend, is in a cup final, still in the Scottish Cup and beat us only a fortnight ago. Keep up the good work Ronny Deila. This man is the future.

All of that said, thank you to Leigh Griffiths, the one guy keeping this ship afloat at the moment. If you’re going to persist with one up front be sure he’s good. Fingers crossed he doesn’t get injured or suspended.
