There is a title to win. A 5th in a row. Has the media won the battle and convinced Celtic fans that a league championship win doesn’t matter anymore?
After that, you still couldn’t be 100% certain of winning League. Aberdeen have 3 home games plus a visit to Celtic Park left. We have just failed to win what could be said to be the easiest of our post split fixtures.
I don’t normally look forward to the close season but this year I can;t wait for it, week after week of boring footballless weeks will suit me fine.

If other managers want to wait to see if there’s a job in England then appoint NFL. I want s manager who wants the job in the same way I want players who want to play for the Club.

Believe it or not,despite what the bookies phenomenal odds say,
I still think we could blow this too..that’s how little faith I have in this manager and the players.
The Green Brigade are immature, moody, attention seeking, entitled, embarrassment to Celtic Football Club. The have tarnished the name of the club too many times bringing politics to the games, flares, offensive banners etc… sure, the sing some nice songs and bring atmosphere to the games but i think this is more for their own fun rather than actually supporting and helping the team.
We are chasing a title and the players look up to see banners indicating they are inferior players – yes that’ll really give them a lift.
I agree celtic standards have dropped and the gamble with deila has not paid off – but it was worth a gamble at a time when we didn’t need to over invest to win titles. Lawell and Dermot can see whats happening, they see fans are not turning out – so lets see what they do about it now that we expect a serious threat to our dominations.
Secondly , does the green brigade realize what is going on in world football – the financial situation has skewed the game – champions league football should not be a realistic expectation for celtic at this time – unless we get money from some rich arab. STOP LISTENING TO THE PRESS.
Celtic will be just fine when the green brigade are banned and forgotten!
No matter what way you slice it, that was dire.Brown is done,ditto Lustig and half a dozen others. Sviachenko should be the next captain. I think he gets the club big-style. Ronnie? Same old, same old. No vision or tactical nous. I would have thought the players would have shown fire after last week, but no.
Steve Clarke for manager, new assistant coaches, new fitness coach, new scouting network. John Park is as much use as Hyde Park.

The Green Brigade have feck all to do with the football being played. They may be immature at times, but only for the support they give there would be no atmosphere at all.

This is the price you pay when you bring in a weak manager. Having been willing to give him tell the end of the season I would get rid of Ronny now and bring in the new guy or at least Lenny till the end of the season.
The players seem to be at each other’s throats. Some of the fans getting at the players. Most of the fans getting at the Board. This is a shambles. But it is redeemable if the club’s leadership makes the right executive decisions, quickly.
Get it done Celtic.

The shirt shrinking banner wasn’t displayed by the GB. It was at the other end of the ground in the upper tier.
my debate is not about whether their banners are true or not – we can all see the appointment has failed. I actually think we have the makings of a decent team but the coaching is responsible for a large % of our failings.
My problem is with the timing! our priority at the start of every season is to win the title – we are chasing rangers record winning titles (even the tarnished ones) – i want the title in the bag and on the history books.
Those banners and not turning up to support the team is as shocking as the performances on the pitch – we are in this together – fans and players.
Once we get over the line then protest at end of season , don’t buy season books unless you are hay with new appointment signings etc…

While I would usually agree with you, these are unusual times.
Don’t forget these are a bunch of kids that get arrested for sneezing during a game, how else are they going to get their thinking across to an aloof and invisible club leadership, and a bunch of pampered millionaires who look like they’ve chucked it?
What they said on the banner certainly reflect’s the mood of any Celtic social media site I have visited in the last week.
How would you suggest the support get their message across?
A buffoon of a manager and useless players,who,no matter how crap they are,are automatic choices in the next game.

Just back from the game
It was awful. Lifeless- the team, the atmosphere, the occasion.
After last week, we were all owed a bit of passion and aggression. The only sign I saw was Bitton starting a fight after the 90 minutes were up.
The approach taken by this classless group of players today means that the manager will probably not get to enjoy a title win with us. We will win it, but, if we win it in this stumbling, heartless fashion, a lot of the joy will go from the occasion.
Today was nothing to do with tactics and manager’s choices. None of the players taken off, absolutely deserved to stay on. Many of the players who stayed on could easily have been hooked with no detriment to the team.
If the Board decide today that Leigh’s words about sending the manager off, were hollow and not shared by the team, they could see him sent on gardening leave, unable to take the solace of the league title the team and he will have earned. 9 points clear with 4 games to go, it would be either a panic measure or a classless gesture to deny the team (players and management) their joint triumph.
But that panicky classless decision almost became pressing today. Some players should feel ashamed tonight.
The players should have been bursting a gut today and should have got the fans onside right away but it was the usual torpid stuff.

Now we have a plonker mocking the Green Brigade. I wish I was 50 years younger I would be right in the middle of them. They have more heart and soul about Celtic than most of the imposters running our famous club. The money men have stolen our club.
