RIP Debbie Reynolds; the death of her daughter must have hit her really hard.

She was in the midst of Carrie Fisher’s funeral arrangements and it seems she has taken a stroke.

    Very sad.

    Festive greetings amigos…

You know what I mean re Wenger… Long term influence, good football style, club interest at heart… Etc

    Re defenders…

Proper replacement for Tierney who will move on soon. Proper right back for Lustig who’s past his best. I like Erik but feel he’s too small and Simon vice has yet to convince me.

All of the above are more than good enough for Spfl but not sure they are for Europe. The fact that Tierney has been our stand out defender this season at all levels suggests we can make improvements defensively.

    Wenger like influence?

    —————–

Many, possibly the majority of Arsenal fans want rid of him ?

    Re another thing…

Agree Skype was comedy hour last night.

I fundamentally agree that a one horse race is doomed. What I do t understand is why the required 2nd horse needs to come from the contaminated Ibrox stable….

There’s a real central belt media delusion going on.

As for Alex Ray Hun apologist… Beggers belief.

True, very sad but totally understandable.

They are now United, and hopefully their paths will be easier in the next life.

” …the cantilever load of the connectors has exceeded its tolerance and is in imminent danger of failure”

From John James site. He makes direct reference to a Woolgar Hunter report on three stands at Ibrox.

Any reasonable person would be forgiven for reaching the conclusion that JJ is at the wind-up.

    It couldn’t be genuine?!

One comment goes as far as to suggest no insurance cover, and club taking a calculated risk it won’t topple during the c. 3 hours match time ( including time added on for whatever…)

Hate to say but there is a complacency on the blog about Saturday. We could have lost a few goals tonight. Press well for a time then seem to be a bit slack. Just my opinion.

My point was you want a negative, you’ll find one….lost a few goals?…….not the game I was at, but! That’s your opinion, an that’s mine. And we could have scored a few more goals too, but! We didn’t, and we still won right?

I know and I understand Arsenal fans frustrations but looking at it objectively… 20 years of top 4 and CL qualification while playing best football in the league without mounting any debt is decent going. They will do well to find a better manager in my opinion.

I’m an admirer of Lustig I just don’t see him. As the future….

  10. Wenger used to be able to spot a player.

Could easily have had Forster , Wanyama and Van Diijk .

Don’t know if it’s EPL snobbery or just too long in the job but seems to have lost his touch

Understand what you mean. Arguably Peter Lawwell has given us the same fiscal control.

    All about opinions a suppose.

I don’t particularly like or agree with much of what Kevin’s has to say… However where I do agree with him is in his assessment of where Celtic are aiming for under Rodgers…

These next 2 windows are critical to how we secure CL status that will put clear green water between us and the rest of the Spfl.

If we can move beyond last 32…we will be £100m better off. King the 3bearsand every Rangers fan would need to Literally empty their pockets to put up any kind of challenge.

Rodgers isn’t here to win spfl.. That’s now a given.. We are on the brink of a step change.

All of these players are good enough but only KT looks to me like he’ll be a nailed on for future CL games..

  15. I’m reading a few things online this AM that the compliance officer is on vacation and that the Kiernan punch on the St. J player will not be dealt with till he gets back?

We should run a competition trying to guess what tomorrow’s anti Celtic story will be in the SMSM before Saturday’s game……….I’ll begin……

A Rangers win will maintain the integrity of Scottish football, getting it away from a one horse race

Lawwell has talent as a CEO.. But that is the beginning and end of his role. Happy to see him now back to playing to his strengths and keeping a lower profile. His foray in to ‘management’ was a stretch too far. As is now evident with a proper manager and leader at the club…

  18. Cults- I think Lustig has another 3 years in him, hopefully if he stays injury free, another who may benefit from chucking international football.

It’s actually a bile bigot fest of hatered against Roman Catholics who should go back to Ireland as the famine is over (charming) and other little gems on Child Abuse accusations against all and sundry, and we (Scotland) missed this?

    Seriously?

Tony Donnelly – Thanks for the reply. I don’t quite get the overly assertive response from yourself but each to their own. From where I was sat Ross County could have scored 2. As I said I hope Saturday proves my wariness to be wrong.

  24. Grayskull will be a good learning curve for BR.

To perform and win in a hostile atmosphere can only serve as good preparation for Europe.

    Tony,

According to BT last night even if the compliance officer was available apparently he does not look at any incident until 2 working days after the game which would be Monday. As we are in holiday season this will not be looked at until Wednesday next week at earliest.

Any punishment would not be applicable until first game after winter break.
