Wondered how long it would be before we got the bickering and point scoring. On a night like tonight? Just drop it please and celebrate our fine achievement.
I’ll wager Michel Platini breathed a huge sigh of relief when he heard that result tonight.

Ha @ MadMitch 22:22. Tis NZB slow coach :) And yes i’m very last year but that’s because I’ve not posted in a year. Hmmm…
I’m liking the sound of the Growth Agenda – very organic. However you could argue organic growth isn’t very corporate and hence the Debt Nutters really have a point. Perchance?
However I think the point is, that i’d like to whitter on about at least – is that the majority of opinions have some validity. I’m not qualified to distinguish between the haves and the have not’s – the Growth Agenda’s and the Debt Nutters alike.
Put me down for an even bet.

Just home…..yet again Celtic produce emotions of the greatest kind….
Congratulations to Peter Lawwell on that magnificent win tonight, he was pure torture last Tuesday missing sitters, fluffing his clearances but my goodness he didn’t half play well tonight.
Take a bow, Pedro.

Now that was nail bitingly enjoyable.
Stokes played as well as he has ever done as did Effe.
Everyone played their part and although I groaned once or twice at Forrest’s touch the lad never hid,
Everyone played well and I was delighted and grateful to have been there.
The things guys is life is all about uncertainty and whilst it would have been nice to have gone into the game from a better starting position the occasion would not have been what it was A Celtic Night in the CL.
Lenny obviously letting off steam given the pressure he has been under.
Expectation levels need to be more realistically calibrated for the sake everyone’s well being.
Just in from the game , thank you Celtic and thanks to the best support in the world .
Amazing night .

My point is this
Correctly people come on with joy in their hearts and sing the praises of the team the manager and even the fans for tonights victory
I have no problem with that at all
I completely agree
However I do think our much maligned Chief Executive (or whatever his title is) Peter Lawell deserves some praise for his excellent stewardship of a massive club that unfortunately plays in a financial backwater in a time when we are experiencing the worst recession since 1929
“This is the greatest night of my footballing life,” a jubilant Lennon told Sky Sports. “I know it doesn’t mean too much to most of the football world, but we have achieved the impossible tonight and there is a huge feeling of relief and pride. I never want to go through this again.
“We are going to the big show again and this is a good answer to what has been said about this team in recent days. People turned on us very quickly in a summer when we have lost key players, but this was the answer to all of them.
“I would like to get Real Madrid in the draw now. To take Celtic there would be special, but I really don’t mind who we get. The main thing is we are there.”
Shakhter so nearly snatched a vital away goal as they hit the crossbar in the second half, but Lennon reserved special praise for Irishman Anthony Stokes, who set up the late winner with a moment of magic down the wing.
“There is a section of our support that don’t take to Anthony and I don’t know why,” added Lennon. “When we got him on the pitch, he is a special player and he confirmed that tonight. He was not alone in being a hero. We had heroes all over the pitch and now I need a day off to recover from all this.”
Lennon went on to confirm Celtic’s passage to the Champions League group stages should bolster his hopes of adding to his squad ahead of the transfer deadline next Monday.
Two guys sitting behind me tonight – slagged every Celtic player from start to finish – every move, every pass – too slow, too quick – no-one moving, cowards, idiots the lot – Neil Lennon was also abused – and young James Forrest in particular was given special attention – so delighted for him that he popped up for the winner. A fabulous win from a fabulous Celtic team.
Hope Gary Hooper enjoyed his arm-chair view.
Oh and a mention for the disgraceful flag the away support produced at the third goal.
Plenty of smashed windows in cars tonight – they are hurting bad.
New issue of CQN Magazine – coming soon. It will be a pleasure getting it ready now.

Lennon was right. That was a bigger result than Barca when you put it into perspective. Minimum 16m pot of gold but better than that is the feel good factor of being at the big party from now till Xmas, at least. Barca result in itself though, stands in top 5 all time.
If you get my drift.

I agree that we should go easy on the point scoring but, just remember, this blog would have had a record number of “told you so” points if we went out tonight.
My position is that it is always a struggle for Celtic to qualify. We are not an established CL team yet and we have been punching well above our weight. It is a great achievement, what we have done. These are successful times in our club’s history, obviously not as good as 66-74 but 2000- 2013 has been pretty good for us, apart from their 3iar.

In all my years of supportin celtic this is up there with the best…better than barca? What a club.
But we really really need the boards backin now we are down to the bare bones and i dread to think wer we’d be without commons the only man who looks to get on the ball in the midfield…and sammy (now officially a celtic legend)
It took a toll on my guts Tonight Lhads In bits after that. Wanted wee James off the pitch at 40 mins. Wanted him never to come off in the second half! Stokes and wee James really stuck at it. Thought Sammy was inspirational and Brown led by example. Joe had a quiet night. Big FF still worrying me. Matthews went for it. Kris was class. Big Efe and Lustig were excellent. Charlie was solid.
There is no better feeling when Celtic win a big game or even a small game. They made us proud.
No doubt every CQNer, whatever their views, were as one tonight when wee James finished off Stokesy’s move. We can resume normal service Saturday but for now let’s enjoy the feeling of being back where we belong :-)
