Guys, I was one of the first to criticise the bhoys last week but they played as a real team tonight. Great game, great performance – absolutely brilliant. Well done Neil Lennon et al. Paradise was rockin the nite.

Best sight of the night, Lenny and the subs charging up the line to celebrate wee Jamsies goal with the 4th Official chasing them. Brilliant.
I phoned the yard and then posted on the blog to you and Gordy ( and anyone else who wanted tobtake the hint) that they fancied it. I took 9/2, so not bad.

@Thunder Road. Read your post this morning and it it hurt me so.I fell out with my dad yesterday over his smoking (140 a week) it wasn’t a big fall out but enough to worry me.
Anyway after reading your post I went down and gave him a big hug,he never said much and I left it at that. He’s just phoned me and said celts went thru and he was jubilant. Like your dad he has seen it all He watched wee jinky’s first game ,seen tully,

I am personally delighted for those younger fans who have only heard of the glory days 66-74. Tonight was another chance for them to savour a CP European glory night. The team might not be as good but the atmosphere most certainly was.
These same fans proved again how special and famous they are.
As long as none of the other teams from the lower divisions get any dosh off of our heroics. Or at least one of them.

Thank you NFL and the team for a memorable night and another journey into the CL group stage.

After the first game I asked why no one had a dig from distance. Commons hit the bar with our one effort.
Anyway I’m behind the goal when Sammy runs across the park and I’m ffs shoot.
He lays it off to Commons who takes a touch and all I see is the ball getting bigger and bigger and I realise only the net will stop it.
How far out was Commons and what a strike.
Is there anyone else in the back line that that can shoot from distance it would sure unsettle packed defences. I remember Charlie Mulgrew scoring from distance and Matthews. More please.

Just been perusing the CL facts. 5 years until we celebrate the 50th…50th!! anniversary of our greatest ever achievement. It’s going to be a further 50 years for us to get close if we stay in this shi@@ league. Great result, great performances from every one of them. There will be a few on the treatment table in the morning.

All stars tonight, but best were Commons, Ambrose, and Samaras.
They had a union flag with the slur big Jock. Apparently they were given it last night at the pawnbrokers competition.

Fair play to Viktor Kumykov
After game interview.
(Journalist) – Mr. Kumykov, what are your feelings now? What is your opinion after this game?
Kumykov – I would like to say that we lost to the team who is better class. Each their player is better our player on the same position. Generally speaking, final result of this competition is fair. Of course I’m disappointed because we lost it in additional time. First goal we lost in injury time to the first half and third goal in additional time to the whole game.
If we were more lucky this competition could end in another way, could give us positive result. As it happened, we are out of the Champions League but will play in UEFA League Europe.
(Journalist) -Are you disappointed that your team is out of the Champions League?
Kumykov – Of course I’m disappointed but as I said – final result after two games is fair. Celtic were better and deserved Champions League more than we did.

Signing off for the night, still have a headache from the tension. Would have avoided CQN for 48 hours if we had gone out, now can’t wait to catch up in the morning, will savour every post. Remember Bhoys no infighting or point scoring just rejoice, nights like this are very special, they should be treasured.
