A special shout out to Daizen Maeda. His energy and work ethic is contagious. Does he fill up with Red Bull before he goes on the pitch?

We have been on the BBC before, European games, when the Beeb had broadcasting rights, but as a rule, ever since 1964 when MOTD started (on BBC2 ran by David Attenborough) it only covereed the top English League. Maybe Atenborough didn’t want to show the animals on the telly back then, scare the viewers.

I would like Nawrockie given a start against Falkirk on Sunday what I have seen of him he is quicker co.ing out of defence ,also the young Spanish left back gets a run out to
I think we may see a 10 man shuffle for Falkirk, with mcgregor playing the first 45

€275,000 share value increases by c.€1050 every time there is a draw (there have been 2 so far).

Good Morning Fholk – Grand Day To Be A Tim…
Really enjoyed the game and we know that the play can be refined and the new signings will get better when bedded in.
Watched quite a few of our opponents as well this week, it was difficult to predict where we were!?
Aston Villa looked head and shoulders above Young Boys, Bayern Munich looked head, shoulders and knees above Dynamo Zagreb.
But where were we? Head and shoulders above Slovan Bratislava.
Brilliant, yet still doesn’t tell us how we do against the elite nor also rans, my guess, stuck in the middle with Brugge
Another tuff call, pick three players out of that lot!?
Goals, assists, resilience, physicality, pace, technique, leadership… they never stop!!
So as the bar is high, I’m going for those who were kinda flawless and that unfortunately discounts a couple of great performances that definitely fall into the “never hid” variety – that will provide dividends going forward
Have a great one, a couple more of our UCL opponents to catch up with today but you know NONE of them will be taking fortress Celtic Park lightly

Interesting chat regarding Matt,
A bit of confirmation bias going on for me
Was a fan from the start, a pal I watch the matches with had a downer on him from day one…
It’s not unusual for him to take that stance but he never gives his “victims” credit… for anything
Before Matt it was Rogic, before Rogic it was Sammy…
Anyways, I’d agree that Matt was not always effectual but for me his quality showed from the start and his improvement and consistency under BR&Co suggests it was how he was being coached and utilised rather than his attitude or abilities
As far as conditioning goes, O’Riley v Engels, I’d say that was English third tier v Bundesliga
Many decry our involvement in Scottish Football but there are advantages as well
The speed of the game and physicality is on a par with the top leagues, maybe way behind in technique, tactics etc*
Yet the physical side of the game is up there, especially I’d you are not getting protection from the officials
Many a Celitic players path will be difficult to navigate because of this – Hatate, Matt, etc it’s difficult to show your quality all the time when the hammer throwers only job is to stifle you
That side of the game will be no surprise to Arne, Idah, etc
A serious contemplation on recruitment and player development
As it stands, we could see real progress on all fronts with our squad this season
*Obviously getting a Manager in like Brendan Rogers is a Godsend – Aberdeen also benefiting from a very good choice of coach, St Johnstone, not so much
Let’s hope we see Matt kick a ball in anger soon once again, the bhoy got it and will always be one of us…

Job done last night, then some.
I don’t think Bratislava are too far removed from the list of teams that have turned us over in CL qualifiers so to beat them so well is a real measure of where we are right now.
If Brendan keeps this up, P67 may have to compliment the job he’s done very soon…
A nasty wee 5h1te of a man playing the “noble principles of journalism” card in order to get back at the lady who put an end to his easy access.

If you went to a bookie to bet on it being Simon Case the bookie probably wouldn’t take that bet.

bada
oreilly was hit and miss for his 1st year
he drifted in and out of games, and struggled (early on in the the first 6 months) with the upgrade in physicality, power strength and pace
engels has slotted in and easily coped with the physicality, power, strength and pace that us needed to replace O’Reilly
Well that was fun… Great all round team performance , some lovely goals .
Watched the game in Dicey Reillys Puerto Rico , great crowd of tims and two Bratislava fans , they took the defeat well ….
