i thought kelvin made a mess of their goal, looked easier to get under the ball and clear it over the bar.

Agree matey if you remember against cally izzy was caught out halfway up park again for their goal, a bit of communicaton between him and Charlie wouldn’t go a miss for 1 to sit in.

Neg Anon posted earlier today that he was going to the game and has tomorrow off, so my guess he is still enjoying his evening.

Sorry Izzy, but if you had been reading CQN as long as I have, you would recognise that Edward Ursus, although a Rangers Supporter, is nonetheless a decent human being who does not deserve to be unthinkingly labelled as ‘Scum’. Edward’s comment tonight (22:00), compared to your own comment, to my mind anyway, is every bit deserving of being read and being lauded. Your own comment however makes me cringe with embarrassment. It absolutely demonstrates the sheer folly of labeling all Rangers Supporters as ‘Scum’ or ‘Hun’ or any other abusive term; there ARE good people among them and Edward is one of them. Just as in our Support we are not all Saints either, as you have clearly demonstrated. Use your brain and think to yourself why Edward gets such a warm reception, and then ask yourself if you will feel so good about your own comment in the cold light of tomorrow’s day… Yes, collectively Rangers, the Club/Institution and a lot of their Fans evoke the same feelings in me as they do in your good self. I though would like to think that I am humane enough and not deluded enough (or drink-fuelled enough?) to see a person for what he is, and not what he potentially represents.
I feel bad about calling you out on this, but I believe in calling a spade a spade. The best part for you and I is that we wake up tomorrow and are still Celtic Supporters and our Team is in the last 16 of the Champions League. :-)
Yours in Celtic,
TB&F (Who doesn’t bear a grudge and has ‘forgiven’ you already. :-) )
Thinking maybe you jumped the gun relating to Edward ursus’s post.
Just pour yourself one and chill and be glad you’re not a hun.hh

I add my support for those backing Edward. Don’t know why he supports the blue team but maybe you just can’t choose you’re family. He deserves respect on this blog though without question.
Just in from the game, frozen, delighted and buzzin.

Thought Ambrose was given the run around first half – was that by Emneke? Looks a player.
Brown wasn’t fit, but never hid.
Kayal has a big heart but occasionally lacked tactical discipline tonight. I thought we missed the presence of Wanyama and the calmness and passing ability of Ledley.
Hooper put in a tremendous shift, and took his goal brilliantly. Sammi was immense – strong in possession, clever, powerful. Very unlucky with the volley too.
Lassad gave us a wee extra dimension when he came on. Commons was patchy, but is our most creative player by a distance. I was sure penalty had gone over bar. Agonising to watch.
Nice to see a good reception for Aiden in the heat of battle.
Spartak were much improved, and what a strong travelling support for a “meaningless” game.
Re: Benfica. Glad to see them go out. No class, and showed us absolutely no respect. Good luck in the Europa, losers…
Just home and what an amazing night and Celtic thoroughly deserve to go through to the knockout stages.
Schalke, Malaga or PSG would be my hope for the next round. I don’t understand why we need to wait so long until the draw, it’s not a big deal really but the draw should have been made this week IMO.
Bedtime and what a song to go out to. Kudos to the DJ tonight.

Very brave substitution taking of Kayal and putting Lassad on ..

Completely agree. Excellent choice when JL seemed ready made.
Efe was having a wee chat with Eminike when they came out for the 2nd half I think he made him an offer he couldnt refuse.
