  1. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Another well earned win with a lot of hard work put into beating the Perth ‘Saints’ tonight.

Son of Dallas has went from being a ref in junior football in the 2011/12 season, he was the fourth offical in the Junior Cup final that season to becoming a grade 1 ref in the 14/15 season and placed on the SFA’s Uefa/Fifa list also within 3 years of reffing junior games.

He was also one of the officials at the McLean semi final in 2015. He made a wee bit of dosh over 4 days. He reffed a game on the Saturday, got his match fee for the semi final the next day then the follwing Tuesday reffed the Hibs game that night. In all , he must have been paid over a grand for being a match official in thse three games.

Obviously nothing to do with his dad.

As Exiled Tim has said , sorting the refs will help our game improve.

Good night all and sleep well.

  2. Funny how things are seen differently….

    1) thought NIR was really good best performance for ages. Great control, range of passing, fulcrum in the midfield AND for him passing quite quickly.

    2) thought everyone gave a pretty good level of performance except maybe Moussa who to be fair was really crowded by the defenders

    3) thought the ref wasn’t that bad, or at least he’s leniency was pretty consistent. Obviously he got things wrong and his leniency went too far but two facts occurred to me…..

He didn’t give a pen against Broonie…..Lots of refs would have been spot pointing in a flash AND this was one of very very few league games this season where our opponents have received more bookings than us!

Don’t get me wrong still need to watch out for him in the future but not too upset with him tonight.

“Baffled by BRs decision to substitute Gamboa for Eric. Made no sense whatsoever.”

The fact that St. Johnstone had just brought on McLean and Cummins with the obvious intent of lumping balls into the box to scrape a lucky equaliser might have played a part in Brendan’s thinking. Erik defends the high ball better than Gamboa

  4. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

    Evening All.

Not long in from a very enjoyable evening at Celtic Park with son No 1. The evening was made even better when we found ourselves seated right in front of that bastion of Ambassadorial diplomacy ….. Canamalar.

Apparently, the big man is thinking of writing a travel book where any place on earth will be categorised as either a shitehole or just a dump!

I am looking forward to it already.

Always good to see the redoubtable Malorbhoy who is one of those who must bear a heavy responsibility for the forthcoming Lisbon jaunt.

Last but not least I got to share a few words with Jungle Jim and ACGR (there was no one in size 22 gimp suit in sight either) — and The Carnoustie Dram Drinker has once again been kind enough to give me another superb bottle of whisky to raffle for charity.

He really is a wee softie ya know —– well until Big Judith starts doing the weather and goes on to describe big fluffy clouds and a prolonged wet patch.

Anyway, I thought the Celtic played well enough and that big Dedryk was very good. He had been looking for his goal all night at set plays and there was a fair “thump” when his head connected for the goal.

Bit of an off night for Moussa right enough.

Chances to win the Nir Bitton signed shirt can be found here: http://www.ebid.net/uk/for-sale/matchworn-signed-celtic-shirt-with-celtic-charity-foundation-logo-nir-bitton-153619704.htm

£19:67 will go an awful long way to helping the school in Liberia and the work of the Celtic Charity Foundation so please help if you can.

    Thanks

WHAT IS THE STARS on 25TH JANUARY 2017 11:45 PM

    Hadn`t heard that before.

Fascinating reference to ” Suzie Wong . ”

    Brave for its time.

In discussions with the author, Lord Snowdon has, however, been much happier to admit some of his female conquests. The book identifies Jacqui Chan, a former model and dancer, as his first real love.

As the then Antony Armstrong-Jones, he pursued a passionate relationship with Miss Chan, the stunning subject of some of his early photographs, and their love affair continued until shortly before he became engaged to Princess Margaret in February 1960. One well-known picture, taken by Lord Snowdon, shows Miss Chan turning the heads of three servicemen as she walks through Venice in 1956

JF made many breaks and set up several chances for Armstrong, Dembele and Sinclair (their finishing was the ineffectual part).

He also made the Sinclair headed goal which was adjudged to have gone over the line.

JF, like Bitton, had a fine game tonight against a well organised team. IMO

  7. Hunderbirds

    Thanks for that, my friend.

    Anyway,talking about dead horse.

I went to Cheltenham a few years ago with a Sevcconian pal.

He sees this horse called Ulster Right at 50’1 and when he sees a priest giving it a blessings, he puts on£20 win.

Anyway, the poor horse slips and dies,

Sevconians asks the priests ….etc etc

My son, said he, you don’t know the difference between a priestly blessing and the LSt Rights!

Sure you have heard it before, but 1 nil is good for me….never a stroll in the park against them !

  8. Long time since I posted.

All is looking good in timdom and the generation of domination is well underway.

The ambition shown in appointing and backing Brendan has resulted in CL cash and full houses at CP

    Anyone missing ronnis roar?

  9. Great performances tonight from KT,Boyatta,Broony,Armstrong,Biton,Scotty in the first 70 mins.Poor game from Moussa.Wee Paddy lit the place up with his first touch, and bamboozled about 4 St J defenders at the corner flag for around 2 minutes.Boyatta is the most dangerous CH we have had at corners in the opposition box in donkeys.Thought he was terrific tonight.

    Love watching this team.

  10. Fair play to Dedryck and BR who believed in him. And especially those who backed him at 33/1 for the fs.

SETTING FREE THE BEARS FOR RES. 12 & OSCAR KNOX on 25TH JANUARY 2017 11:56 PM

    Lord Snowdon fancied Jackie Chan???

    ===========================================

And apparently accomplished more than …………….well , you know who.

  12. Oh and I meant to add……

Thank goodness Sevco didn’t appoint a proper manager like Tommy Wright, a football professional who knows how to use the resources available to the best effect.

If Aberdeen were at all professional they would dump McInnes and appoint Wright.

  13. Gordon64

I think the farmers were going route 1 near the end which is why big Eric came on. DB continued to play well at right back.

JF won a free kick near touchline at 18 yard box in first half. He proceeded to walk towards centre of box with his back to the ball. Strange.

  14. Enjoyed the game tonight. Good to meet up with some excellent CQNrs, acgr, cowiebhoy, an tearmann, jobo baldie, the boy jinky, and my original contact at “the corner” crc. Sorry if I missed anyone. HH

  15. Really enjoyed the high tempo play tonight, St J as we knew would get passes on yellow cards, both full backs and Boyata were excellent. If Armstrong was out the team you would miss him now St J best organised and fittest we have played this season.Wright will be Sevco-s next manager.

  16. Good performance from Boyata tonight. He looks really fit and highly motivated. He’s an incredible threat at set peices.

In terms of the performance overall, decent but still shaking off cobwebs from the winter break. Moussa took a knock early and never seemed to shake it off. St Johnstone created absolutely nothing outwith set plays. They were well organised but nothing more than their usual hammer throwing selves. They deserved nothing.

Anyway another one out of the way, roll on Sunday, I have a feeling we will absolutely crush Hearts.

  17. Tim…..

Well they hit the post and CG had to stretch to get one tipped over the bar.

But over the piece you are correct St J played to their limits

  18. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Not long back. M8 closed and tailback for about four junctions. Navigated daughters through the ‘old way’

Bloody scandalous the amount of times the roadworks are concurrent with home ‘tic games.

Last game big? Eric at 22s tonight Boyata at 25s ! Wonder who we will pick for Sunday. Not 33s on my IN house coupon lucky bassa who got it.

  19. Boyata was my MOTM and chuffed he got his goal.

    Armstrong fab

    Broonie, Broonie

KT seems to have returned stronger, faster and with a welcome wee edge.

Dembele not really at the races tonight and could have come off 10 mins sooner. But ffs Leigh be careful and not trip over your own petted lip.

Bringing on Erik the Cultured was wise as St J were about to launch an aerial blitz.

Ref started quietly but increasingly came onto a game that will fill his dad with pride.

  20. SFTB- MACJAY

Having worked with Snowden on a number of occasions i think the chances of him fancying Jacky Chan are high.

Once did a job were he told the almost naked model/female to stop whining about being cold despite the obvious goosebumps. He however kept asking my handsome assistant if he was cold and did he need the heat put up?

You may remember the Private Eye Roddy llewellyn jokes ………

Roddy had a small part in Charlie`s Aunt.
