Hi Deniabhoy. Lovely town.
I think ML can be an asset for us, at least to the end of this season.
Next season too if he stops playing international football.
If Ralston recovers from injury and continues developing they can both spell one anther till,Ralston makes the position his own.

Big spending Putin FC gubbed again, lost 5, tied 5, goals for 40, against 23 with a GD of only 17. Now 14 points and a 24 GD behind klippities mob. Still tae play both Manchester sides in the cups, looks like the trumpets pal will be looking for a new coach.

A big well done Celtic. Not always straightforward swapping a game in hand for 3 points.
Our deal on the 20th Dec tying Callum down may just prove to be one of our best pieces of business.
And a big well done to the fans who braved ” Arctic,” conditions .

To keep the feelgood factor going, our old pal, Artur Boruc, was GK for Bournemouth tonight in their 4 0 (!) win over Chelsea tonight.
Hun Media in meltdown. Defoe is useless; Davis it rubbish; Flanagan is worse than any of them; Lavatory should be punted.
So much for these ex-EPL players and RRM making a big difference.

Competition for the goalkeeping position.
KA and Jozo unflappable and dependable tonight.

Brown back to his majestic form.
Rogic back from his sahara safari.
Nir Bitton available after a year.
French Eddie back and looking promising.
Weah giving the impression of a happy chappy with the skills to terrify defenders.
Are we stronger than we went into the break?
Hell yes.

Liverpool one up drop 2 points at home to Leicester, just shows there is nothing easy in football. The clowns here who denigrate our performances calling us Pub Team Skelpers probably never played a game in their lives.
Every SPFL team up their game against us, every win is hard earned.
Didn’t particularly enjoy the game but happy and relieved with the win.
Jeremy Toljan on loan and Shevd announced tomorrow and that’s it.

Second half tempo and accuracy was much improved with two lively goals.
Brownie so often beats his man before the ball even arrives through his deft dip of the shoulder or sleight. Almost set up a lovely third as a result.
Nir looks to have filled out and sped up following his enforces break. TimO is Weah too fast for most defenders.
And the defence looked solid.
V good result. I love going to Paradise.

I thought Brother Aitken had a reasonable performance tonight.
Apart from the penalty denial.
Apart from a couple of unpunished thuggish tackles from behind.
Apart from not giving a red card for an assault on Lustig.

GG – thank you, it is a lovely place to live. ML has plenty of fans, but even BR, perhaps his biggest fan, knows it’s time to replace him. We are scrambling around trying to sign a RB of quality, on loan, to go straight into the team.
ML was a decent right back two-three years ago that, on occasion, was terrific and a bit gallus to go with it. He was also a hun-skelper. I get that. Time moves on. No room for sentiment when titles are up for grabs.
Did you hear that Hunnies & Stirrers- 6 points clear.
After 50 minutes of fairly pedestrian and uninspiring football, Callum produced a shot of beauty and St. Johnstone crumbled. Two minutes later, Ryan Christie outdid Callum with a goal of great difficulty. To lift a ball at pace and then have it drop when it clears the keeper is a 1 out of 10 tries shot. We got it and we needed it. Two assists for PC Past-it and an encouraging return from French Eddie.
And for those looking for a downside and a scapegoat, James Forrest stepped forward with a performance where everything he tried turned to shecht.
4 games since Dubai without a goal conceded, while bedding players in and getting others back from injury- it’s a really good start to the 8iar Project- Part Deux.
We now face a more difficult February. Not only will we have to deal with the post-window moaning and doom, we’ll have to play this tough St. Johnstone team, with an in form keeper, away in Perth and back at CP in the Cup. We’ll have tough midweek fixtures against Hibs (H) and Hearts (A) plus 2 midweek Europa ties with Valencia, a tough away table-top clash with Killie and a weekend home league tie with Well.
8 ties in 24 days, 50% away from CP. We’ll know soon if this 6 point gap is going to grow or stay tight or disappear.
Odsonne, Timo or Ollie against Goldson or Katic or Worral or McCauley. Wonder who I’d bet on?
Hmmm!

My dodgy stream went down early in the second half. When it came back up we were 2-0 ahead. Trying not to take it personally.
Thought CalMac was great throughout, as was the captain and the PC.
But my MoM is Ajer. He had a sensational game.
6 points clear at the top, Ryan Christie Goal of the Season, big banana skin scuffed aside, Odsonne back and menacing, Sinky sniffing blood again, and Bain’s what we need.

I wasn’t too cold in the first half. But a of sudden after half time . brrrrrrrr!
Disco lights worth the price of a ticket, footprint was well gritted and pleasantly surprised to see Brendan Rodgers at the game.
Celtic’s well oiled groove machine set about St.Johnstone who were even more defensive than Hamilton who apparently are now looking for a manager that’s side plays with flare? and with the players they’ve got if they get one, they’ll go straight down.
Kris Ajer will mazy run and score sometime soon, the former midfielder just has to be told to shoot …….FFS
( whatever that means? ) Scott Brown was in Pirlo mood spraying passes for fun, McGregor, Christie , were superb., not just their goals. Sinclair has found the lost yard of pace or confidence whatever it was its back though not enough for two headers in a row.
Mikael Lustig played superbly well just like he’s been told that there was no right back coming in, always easy for him and Izzy at home under no wing pressure what so ever both men bombed forward for 90 minutes, and fair dinkums to Jozo who avoided injury and played well enough.
Paradise windfall winner was from East Kilbride, close but no cigar, should have bought a pie straight from work, at least I would have got something for my money.
Hope Neil Francis Lennon enjoyed the goals after popping into Tennent’s.

Decent performance and good result tonight but the memory i will retain of this game was the pass by Scott Brown in 88 minutes to the onrushing James Forrest.
Played from near the halfway line through the midfield and back line of defence, it curled into Forrest’s path as he ran in behind the left back.
Worthy of Bobby Murdoch,George Connolly, Paul McStay and Darius Wdowczyk.

According tae the impartial beeb lol the blue brazil played sevco off the park in the 2nd half and also missed a penalty.
========================================================
Cowden. scored from the penalty .
Off the rebound .
The disallowed goal did look offside. Would need to see it again , though .
Just as well we had the 2 goal salvo, if it was nil all when that penalty was denied there would have been war.
When a team sits in like the Saints did it makes a total balls of the game.
Saints may come out more at home but either way we need to start with a Striker, French Eddy for me.
15 games left 6 points ahead plus goal difference, That will do for me, well done the ‘tic.
Thought Ajer did very well a couple of great forward runs and dealt capably the few times he was needed.
Fantastic result.

The slump continues as we go 6 points clear ;-)
The referee tonight, showed all the qualities required for a long and successful career as the MIB in Scotland.
Callum McGregor is the most technically gifted midfielder in the SPL by the proverbial country mile. A pleasure to watch.
A very fine win against a St Johnstone side who might just play a tad more positive on their own patch on Sunday.
