Hope all is as good as it can be ..

2020 has been a Cnut of a year for many

    Take care

  2. No Bobby Does It Petta on

My sympathy, patience and respect for Neil Lennon is dwindling rapidly. Seems to me he is now just stubbornly clinging on for his payday.

  3. GFTB on 6TH DECEMBER 2020 10:18 PM

They’re currently sixth in the Danish league.

True they weren’t “mugs” but they were a limited side with a fraction of our budget. They didn’t even make the group stages this time around….

  4. If you were in Lenny’s position would you resign and walk away from a probable pay off in excess of £1,000,000 pounds ?

Because the fans that have turned on you , want you to go.

Knowing that it will be the last big pay day of your life , and you still probably have 30 years to live .

  5. lets all do the huddle on

Hoopy the Huddle Hound seems to have escaped criticism for the hole we are in just now

a lot of fans blinded by the fact that he can lick his own baws

apart from that he has been invisible this season

he must be hanging around with James Forrest these days

    NO

your point was that copenhagen got to the semi finals..you said it more than once .

The truth is they are a bang average side who tactically left Neil Lennon looking like a clown in the middle of our ‘great run of form’ earlier this year.

Copenhagen in the last 32 of the europa league was a golden ticket.

We blew it big style and it was an early sign of what was to come

  7. Turkey

You obviously didn’t read what I posted, I never blamed him for anything, just laid out a few facts, facts that you seem oblivious to.

    …………………………………….

    Celtic Mac

So you reckon that he has done good then, everything we have won we should have won, we should IMO be dining at the top table, we had the chance and blew it, why, IMO because the OF took precedence over everything else.

Again IMO his legacy will be kin to the legacy of Judas when he goes, he has been an unmitigated disaster, we could and should be miles ahead of where we are, we are where are cos of him.

We are gonna have to agree to disagree on this I fear.

  8. Could it be that Lenny has given the board 1 years notice as per the terms and conditions of his contract? That I would think would stop the board from “sacking” him for say “not performing his duties in the best interests of the club”

I’m guessing that would let the board off paying him his year.

I think Lenny wants to go but wants paid. By firing that 1st shot the board will have to wait out the year or go for garden leave

  9. Let me get this straight, long standing poster Turkeybhoy is not a bona fide Celtic supporter?

    I’ve heard it all now.

  10. And here we go, it’s like dejavu all over again. Celtic fans are frustrated, and that is turning to anger because we cannot effect any changes (Yet), so we turn on each other. Collectively…we should be turning this anger into action against this board…and that really does mean hitting them where it hurts…the bank balance. I’ve come to the realisation that Season Tickets really have stolen any influence we may have had.

  11. TINYTIM-I certainly wouldn’t walk away from what’s rightfully mine especially if I thought I was being hung out to dry.Would anyone

  12. GEEBEE1978 on 6TH DECEMBER 2020 10:15 PM

Anyone who was in Glasgow that day was aware of the overriding feeling about his appointment

However come March you would have been pretty stubborn to have stuck to your guns abd said he wasn’t the right manager to lead us to the ten. Maybe the same percentage against his appointment were now in favor. Don’t forget We won the league by enough to ensure the Huns couldn’t stop us after it was called.

Then we spent a load of money to improve

Maybe if the told you so was from a prediction when we were doing well it might carry a bit more weight than one before an exceptionally successful season domestically

  13. Lazy D 10.25pm

My memory isn’t the best … was it 1-1 in Copenhagen and we had a few chances to actually finish the tie away from home … aye Neil Lennons fault

See these palyers we all sing or “wannebe” they get terrific results away from home then capitulate ..,

It take it you didn’t celebrate any of Neil’s trophies since he was such a terrible manager ??

  14. TBH if i was Lenny i would not walk til i got my cash………he deserves it.

    over to you Peter.

  15. Celtic Mac

I am not made of money, I wish I was and if I was the club wouldn’t be floundering behind the huns that’s for sure.

You asking if I will give you X amount for your shares is stupid and well you know it, it has nothing to do with the points I laid out, please don’t try and deflect from the truth, you really know better

    ………………..

Essentially what I said earlier, BOYCOTT. Ernie has made similar points to your own in the last few days as long as fans continue to buy season tickets then the Board will continue to behave in the way towards fans that they currently do.

  17. Kane and Seung are incredible on the break. If they keep it up,Jose could go close again.Devastating all season this partnership.

  18. TURKEYBHOY:

He’s never failed to win a major honour at one of his clubs. Phenomenal record, and he seems able to reinvent himself as a manager. I am certain he’ll win things there.

  19. In season 2011/2012 between 21 August and 29 October we played 14 games, won 5 drew 4 lost 5. I remember telling an English friend to put a bet on Motherwell to win the title because we were so bad.

We won the next 18 games in the SPL

    Neil Lennon’s done it before.

  20. Go tell the Spartim on

I keep clicking refresh in the hope he’s gone.

Sadly I’ve just realised I’ve clicked into

“Who’s the best Celtic Supporter in the world awards evening “

    Who won ?

Every Celtic manager and player have a shelf life, sadly Lenny’s time was up a few months ago.

As for PL, in my opinion he’s as close to being a Celtic supporter as Slippy G is. We might be his favourite team but there it ends. Others may disagree, fair enough, we don’t have all the answers but I would take the word of the honest men who used to frequent this blog that he’s lower than a snakes belly.

If someone can tell me when he has ever stood up for the Celtic support then I’ll eat Tommy Coopers fedora.

What does he think his legacy will be, will it be rewritten like BR’s was on this blog? Or will he be remembered as the reason we never won the ten 🤷🏼‍♂️

  21. The league is done for me and to be honest, I started to accept it a while back. Lennon being publicly backed after Ross County was the seal for me.

Now it’s all about a reorganisation and restructuring of the club.

Start at the top and work down. This may take a while but as a Club we’re going nowhere without new blood in the boardroom.

The removal of the arrogance in our boardroom is now my big hope for this season.

Desmond has offered our club nothing and Lawwell has harmed us with his incompetence and meddling. Both need to go.

Whether Lennon stays or goes is immaterial to me at this point. His legacy is tarnished. I hope the pay out was worth it, Neil.

  22. the exiled tim

I am using a number that you gave us, as a low price, to make a point which you have evidently missed.

Okay just for clarity, what do you think the Celtic PLC share price is at this particular time?

  23. James,

The difference in Kane this season is incredible. From an out and out striker,to someone who can come deep, and be brilliant at it,as well as still being a great goalscorer,is some testament to the manager.

  24. Just in front the game.. ffs ghuys settle down.

    We are pish end of.

NFL has taken us back at least 5 year and the board love it.

I could honestly pick a better team/formation but the board love the shit we are seeing so why argue amongst ourselves.

    It’s over

    The board has won.

    D :)

  25. FAIRHILL BHOY on 6TH DECEMBER 2020 10:59 PM

That he’s done it before, blind faith, and lots of drink

  26. lazy dynamite@9.42

i replied to a poster suggesting neil lennon didn’t care enough about celtiic and should

leave the job.I mentioned a list of assaults, bomb threats bullets in the post etc,you

claimed “that was all in the past” then you seemed to question my morals for some

    reason ,Could you explain that?

  27. CELTIC40ME:

I remember it. He should have been sacked for that run, and especially as he’d failed to win the title the year before. The same directors backed him then as back him now. They believe what you do; they’ve taken entirely the wrong lesson from that affair. He shouldn’t have survived it.

His record, in a season and a half since getting the gig, was a solitary Scottish Cup.

We had gone out of the Europa League against Sion, but got reprieved. We went on to a truly nightmarish group where we’d failed to win the first three games before that night. We ended up shipping the League Cup and Scottish Cup this season and finished in that Europa League Group with one win out of six.

Lennon deserved to be fired in October 2011. He was lucky to keep his job.

His record before that was lamentable.
