There’s a short video on CelticFCnews.com website which includes an article about the sad news of Wim Jansen’s health issues, but the article is on the “Sun” website so don’t want to post on here.

I’ve tried to copy the highlighted text of the video from Bobby Gillespie where he says, “Jock Stein played ‘punk’ football to overcome Italy’s ‘cattenachio’ defensive ‘Tory football’ and he goes on with, At that time during Mr Stein’s reign, there was a war going on between Britain v Ireland and Celtic fans used to chant things that were very dangerous to chant ‘at that time’ with this war in the background, Celtic fans would chant in support of the IRA which was very dangerous to do back then, and I was attracted to that danger.”

Text is here ๐Ÿ‘‡ but I don’t know if it will play the link to the video.

Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie on how Celtic manager Jock Stein played ‘punk’ football and the impact of IRA chants at Parkhead

I’m trying to be very careful here with links as the other day I posted the ‘wrong link’ on CQN about the medical issues from a doctor with a “non” MSM clique point of view, as opposed to a Celtic based link which I thought I was posting on here at that time.

I asked for the ‘wrong link’ to be removed as it might prove to be offensive, if not worrying for the reader’s and contributors to CQN.

Again, I’m sorry for posting wrong link, and for any hurt that was caused by this.

  5. Speaking about transport access to Celtic park

What a complete shambles also now on supporters buses parking in Emirates parking

Free for all with buses in trying to exit after games

Stewards – used to – allow buses out by rows, now the 2 stewards left at end of game, just stand back at gates and allow a complete blockage with buses from all rows to jam up

Oh, and the single Polis on his motorbike, directing all buses to exit left only, into a bus jam and 30 min trip to pick up the motorway

    Shambles

  6. Ajer and Brentford having nae luck. All over Leicester, but behind to a worldie and a breakaway.

  7. Thanks guys

Never seen it but got sent something with seething G gibbering about foul outside the box but it was a pen.

    Cheers Madrid score 1-0

  8. Lovely picture of MacLean smiling as Fat Charlie scoresโ€ฆโ€ฆnot paranoid enoughโ€ฆ.

  9. I hope Starfelt proves his worth, however for me he dwells on the ball too long and this gives me the fear. Good going forward, and last ditch defending, but needs to move the ball on much quicker – forward – rather than the cross-field tippy tippy between him and CCV. All imo of course, which I wish is proven groundless.

  10. Davie Moyes proving he’s a good manager.

Always like to see former Celts doing well.

  11. Recent Man U – Liverpool matchups have been disappointing, as they seemed to cancel each other out. Hopeful that todayโ€™s will be different. Ronaldo vs Virgil should be worth a watch.

Ralston is a very strong boy. Simple in its style but absolutely correct.

I remember we had John Hughes and he was exactly what we needed in the winterly pitches where effort, determination and brawn were vital.

Anthony Ralston has these qualities in abundance and they will be equally vital.

pity he doesn’t have footballing ability the size of his heart , not a first team starter , squad player at best.

Rankers players very seldom booked for jumping into the crowd- never mind tha actual offence which is โ€˜leaving the field of playโ€™.

Does that go for a certain Mr Maurice Johnston

My days of hating le petit merde are over. Nowadays I’m more concerned about the players who downed tools last season.

    HH.

  16. I would not be surprised if Anthony Ralston has topped the ratings so far this season.

I would not be surprised if he wins Celtic player of the year.

  17. A third 2 – 0 in a row will do nicely for most Celtic supporters.

Saints can sometimes be sticky opponents (Brrrraaaaatttttbbbaccckk) and Callum Davidson knows how to set a team up to defend, where arguably they are the third best side in the SPL at the moment. The acid test is now Wednesday night in Leith and we will see if Ange Postecoglu really really is settling in Parkhead, after the bizarre (ssssshhhhh) departure of Dominic McKay who jetted him in, before he jetted out, and whether his football philosophy is in any way sustainable with the players he’s assembled and like the supporters are now his.

There was no way Celtic would pile on goals verse Saints and after a leggy start, shades of another finisher in Giakoumakis rolled up, with a fine waist high effort after Anthony Ralston’s umpteenth assist. Ralston was a ‘last man standing’ at Celtic in summer when AP arrived and will surely be rewarded with a new improved contract for the early season endeavours? , if unspectacular he’s reliable and consistent. CCV and Starfelt paired well again against industrial forwards, but as per most league games any real goal threat from visitors was minimal, Hibs might be very different at home. Easter Rd, always a Greek meet Greek tough game, but a marker without a doubt to show if we’ve shaken off a sieve, and set up a back four that will get us to that window of opportunity

Captain McGregor was sublime for 94 minutes, Rogic continues to roll back the clock in every game, Kyogo won his penalty and went off happy. Juranovic didn’t really feature until his nicely despatched penalty, and Jota had a quiet game. If we stay in the league till the window opens and we can strengthen again, Sevco’s propped up stop 10 will crumble long before they’ve lied about a 56.

    M.O.M Callum McGregor

  18. Ron Bacardi,

Life is too short to indefinitely bare grudges. Le petite merde is of no relevance to me now.

I don’t think he is connected with football these days so the question does not arise. Frankly I couldn’t give a toss about him now.

A question for you which is still very raw. What do you think about the players who downed tools last season ?

  19. It is harsh, but the odds are that Koemanโ€™s and Solskjaerโ€™s management terms are probably up soon.

  20. Cristiano getting frustrated. Liverpool not giving him a sniff so far. But he is a player who gives his all right up to the last second.
