If Scottish football is less competitive next season then we can still go to Celtic Park for the singjng and dancing.

The fitbaw was entertaining enough but the show, on a reasonably warm summers night, was excellent.

Was impressed by Bangura’s ability to hold off defenders and keep possession, just a wee bit more composure needed

Just listened to AT, C4 ….. That’ll do me ….. Good night, folks…. Any GOODBYE RANKERS ……. If the Scottish Football authorities get taken to the cleaners by this guy, as they have been by agent Whyte, it will serve them right ….. This guy is a con- merchant, in the same mould as agent …

And he is prepared to put in a lot of his own time visiting supporter events apparently.

Firstly, Paul67 has made no mention of Peter Lawwell. It’s an indication of your level of comprehension that you think he has.

Secondly, there’s nothing that Peter Lawwell, or anyone connected with Celtic, is going to tell me about this matter in a private conversation that they couldn’t tell the Celtic support as a whole.

Thirdly, I find it repugnant that Paul67 and a number of posters on here seem to think that what he suggests is an appropriate way for Celtic to conduct business. The supporters, all of them, not a select few, deserve better.

Finally let me make my position clear. I haven’t, contrary to Paul67’s assumptions, levelled any criticism at the Board over the issue of a newco huns being admitted straight into the SPL. I have said they can stop the move if they have the resolve to do so. Those who construe that as a criticism have perhaps decided for themselves what stance the board are going to take. I haven’t, and live in hope that they do the right thing. If they don’t, then as far as I’m concerned, it’s over.

Absolutely fantastic.Especially the wee guy next to the Thai Tiger, his dancing was something I could only dream of.

Roll on the Trophy game to we get to see them one more time.

Oh.. Joe Ledley was his usual 9/10 preformance.

That young bhoy was certainly some dancer, they all looked like they had a ball. Hopefully we can get them on the pitch at half time in the trophey game with 60000 present.

  7. I remember the van stuttering to a halt on the M6 on a dark November night in 1998. The motorway was plagued by roadworks with the third lane closed to traffic. All sorts of resurfacing vehicles and portacabins littered the central reservation. I peered through the wet windscreen and spotted a light. The window wiper revealed an old caravan. A rusty blue towtruck parked beside the humble abode. The caravan door swung open – “Ya need some help there y’all?” screamed a large man resembling the head of a failed Nascar competitor. I anxiously turned the key in the ignition. The engine revved !! “You’ll never catch us!” I shouted at the man, both he and his truck condemned to the third lane forever…

    My sentiments exactly.

There’s been alot of speculation today as to who’s leaving (see so who’s for the exit door – Celtic fanzone) and out of ALL mentioned Mark Wilson tops my list of players NOT TO LET GO – for all your reasons.

In fact my top 3 would be M Wilson, McCourt, Loovens.

  9. Morning Champions a wee note from UEFA which Dungcaster and Reganomics might find helpful in their quest for football clarity..

Uefa have made the following statement pertaining to newcos: “Clubs are not allowed to change their legal form or structure in order to obtain a licence, simply by ‘cleaning up’ their balance sheet while offloading debts – thus harming creditors (including employees and social/tax authorities) as well as threatening the integrity of sporting competition. Any such alteration of a club’s legal form or structure is deemed to be an interruption to its membership of a UEFA member association and, consequently, three years must pass before a club can apply again for a UEFA licence. In other words, the three-year rule is designed basically to avoid circumvention of the club licensing system.”

The Uefa stance is clear and unequivocal on how it treats any newco created to shield a football team from any financial or regulatory ills experienced by the organisation from which it sprang.

“If a club sets up a new company simply to avoid paying its debts or obligations then they would almost certainly fail the three-year rule [for obtaining the required Uefa licence],” a spokesperson for Uefa told The Scotsman.

“This is to ensure clubs do not simply create a ‘newco’ and leave the previous entity in charge of dealing with debts.”

WHY DONT THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL AUTHORITIES GET THIS???
