Tyler Blackett: Celtic sign Manchester United defender on loan
Celtic have signed Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett on loan until the end of the season.
The England Under-21 international can play in central defence or at left-back.
Blackett made 12 appearances for the Premier League club last season and has had previous loan spells at Blackpool and Birmingham City.
Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, 24, has been linked with a move away from Celtic, with Southampton interested.

Many might agree with the sentiments on the banner but not with the undermining of the team during an important game.

Thier banners are beamed around the world as representative of how the whole Celtic support feel.This is misleading and unfair and gives a warped view of where we are as a club.
They don’t speak on behalf of me and I would prefer they kept their banners and songs in support of the team and the history.

Splinter groups from what – People’s front of Judea? Since when have Celtic fans ever formed one cohesive entity. We are the sum of our parts, all fans with differing ideas, political stances and life styles. The thing that brings such disparate groups together is a love of Celtic.
