Interesting comments on the team selection and the speculation on the reasons why some players are in and some are not. I am more than certain that the manager’s knowledge far exceeds anyone on here!

“My auld great uncle used to tell me that things in USA , in Kearney, were quite chummy, the Scots club (ie the Rangers club) and the Irish American club (the CSC) both got on well, maybe even across the landing from each other in the same building, had some rivalry but in some ways were all Scots abroad working in the same industries, . To such an extent, some occasions when home he was hosted in the directors box at Ibrox for the original old-firm games by a pal from Paisley who emigrated at the same time as him.
On the other hand, my 2 cousins in Sydney, have told me of bizarre incidents of bigotry in the weirdest of places, one guy refusing to play pool because cousin had on a crucifix, and another time getting shouted as a fenian b from a passing car because he had the hoops on.”

Saint, About 26-27 years ago, the respective fans of Celtic and the first iteration of the Hun from the Washington DC area shared a large restaurant bar in North Virginia that was one of the rare few bars that showed fitba. In these days, we were losing to them far more often than we beat them.
The venue was rectangular and very long. The Huns gathered at the rear, and we were at the front of the venue. After each game, we would stay for a late breakfast/early lunch and a pint. The Huns would leave to go to a pub in downtown DC. We knew most of the Huns, and truth be told, most were decent blokes who we either worked with or played in the same teams as us. A few were bigoted jerks, who would whisper fenian b———-s as they left, whereupon we would have to constrain certain of our members from violent action, which would have seen us barred sine die. The owner was Maltese, didn’t understand football, but knew that games like Brazil – Argentina and our contests could generate activity that would see him lose his licence and livelihood, so he stamped all over any tussles.
One weekend, after being gubbed, I think 3-0, one jerk gave us the whole Billy Boys song on the way out, while the others filed by quietly, saying something like “Good game, lads.” We looked at each other and someone said, “We need to find our own place.”
At first it was tough, and we were like vagabonds. At first, we found a place on Pennsylvania Avenue. One day, I was walking from the Metro wearing the Hoops and 4 Huns in Rangers strips passed in a car and yelled at me, Fenian B! Without thinking, I yelled back, “Hun C——s”, and fortunately for me, they were in heavy moving traffic, or I could have had a doing.
On the Aussie thing, I’m agin it, but it would soften the blow if we win the treble and we assiduously label it as the “Ange Triumphal Tour.” That would get their goat big time, but my fear is that again we are offering them a helpful financial hand.
Bitton is cover whether you like him or not there’s no room in a home game for Welsh and Jullien on a bench without a recognised striker. Hence the return of Ajeti.. The development spot is taken by Dembele.
AP sees Jullien everyday in training and reckons he’s behind Welsh and tonight Bitton, his transfer fee was long before AP arrived to take the squad, Maybe he prefers his signings, hark at him.
My stream will be a couple of mins behind live action, so I’m outta here, to watch the game.
Be nice ;-)

Good point and it’s also worth noting that Julien’s price tag was before his injury. It was a bad one, he’s missed lots of football and we don’t know if he’s the same player.
