   In terms of outfield, that’s nearly what I went for, that I had McCourt in for Hooper.

    

    

   We don’t often see Hooper, Stokes and Sammi starting, and I’m slightly concerned about how open that makes us – why I’d have opted for the extra midfielder. Hopefully we will score mucho goals, as we’re unlikely to keep a clean sheet. That’s not to criticise Loovens – he and Big Dan have an excellent record as a partnership (won 14, lost 1).

    

    

   Matthews and Forrest are easily our best combination down the right, but Ledley and Sammi have never played on the left together before (not the natural position of either player, although both have played well there).

    

    

   Kayal/Wanyama is a bit plodding in the middle, but Lenny is right to drop Ki who has been out of form.

    Would have rather seen the boy Blackman play at left back,which would have allowed Ledley to play in midfield!!!

    Any idea what the formation looks like? Feels like 4-4-2 with two holding central midfields or perhaps a 4-1-3-2 with Wanyama sitting and Kayal pushing up.
