Mini storm something or other, squalled around 4.45 in Parkhead, but it couldn’t wet the Celtic fans who scurried away from the ground Parkhead after another fine instalment in the nine of those things in a row.
The Brennan mantra of getting the done early was carried out to perfection as Celts coasted on a cold day to half time cuppas, with two close range Leigh Griffiths digs. Both of which were set up by Edouard the provider, the second being a classy well worked dink which set the tone for the day.
Celtic oozed class from the K.O. and although Saints started brightly the inevitable shine went with those two pre-emptive strikers goals, from a man who really was backed by his employer, surrounded with his supportive colleagues his face was a picture, when he wrapped in his third, to complete the hat trick.
Before the hat trick, Edouard’s goal was absurd in execution, sometimes you want him to shoot sooner but this time the third Celtic goal was in the net, before we had time to say the word, and the Eddy songs was duly started. McGregor, Rogic, and Bitton played well, James Forrest is Neil Lennon’s rock and he worked tirelessly providing a formidable shape to the formation on the right flank for 90 minutes.
Same 3-5-2 for Poundland please Neil?

You are right about Tiny Wharton being a pal. My Dad, who will be 97 on Tuesday, used to play with both Tiny and Jimmy in Williamson Street. Tiny was the only one of the boys whose family could afford a ball. My Dad says that his mother or father would often call him up the close and tell him to leave the ball with the others to play with.

I see the Sunday Post is running a “breakthrough Billy Gilmour” story and is praising sevco for including tiered payments based on performance and a sell on clause (which is all pretty standard nowadays especially to anyone who has played Championship/Football Manager). Where it interest me is the numbers involved – it was widely reported that Gilmour’s “fee” was around £500k/£550k at the time; that’s now wing reported as £2m. We’re the papers so far out at the time? His debut was £250k, other payments after x appearances could met up to £1m, Ok fair enough, then comes the promise of jam tomorrow: a sell on clause 15% of gross. But of course they are now saying if Tierney went for £25m then Gilmour has to be £28m, so Rangers are in line for a theoretical £4.2m if Gilmour gets sold. Now Chelsea are on a transfer ban for new players so they’re hardly likely to sell their wee starlet on despite interest from the usual suspects (Man City, Madrid, Barca).
Of course space precluded that Rangers and Chelsea were both got a wrist slap fine for use of a third party contract agreement – they can’t help themselves can they?

Ermmm, didn’t MASH get fined for having an interest in Sevco whilst being owner of Newcastle?
Aren’t there rules which specifically preclude this kind of activity?
Oh, I forgot, this is Sevco FC, the rules only apply when they say so….

Good morning, really enjoyed the game yesterday. Our Calum continued his purple patch, Leigh had a great game goals aside, big Tom kept trying and never gave up, Scott looking tired in the middle and misses Olivier maybe to support him defensively.
352 is the only way to play Neil.
Bitton and El Ham both looked like tibetian mountain goats, cool as. Wee Taylor is still adapting to new role and is hit and miss I just hope he adapts and it doesn’t ruin him. His indecision and stamina are too huge things to work on at the one time.

Don’t watch many of their games, but any time I do tune in I observe that Morelos should have been sent off in every one. The leniency shown by refs is something to see. Already today he’s got away with yellows for fouling and simulation, only half an hour in.

Watched a wee 5 mins of the sevco there . RC defending on mass . All I seen from sevco was wing play and high balls into the box every time . But something that needs to be watched is the headed clearances from those crosses nearly always land at the edge of the 18 yard box to waiting sevco players to have a shot .they won’t all fly over or past . It’s a thing I’ve noticed a lot as a sevco tactic . Come on the county

0-0 at half time on the Black Isle. They have struggled to create chances agains a truly awful team, with a terrible defence. There has not even been a close thing.
However, I am sure County can play better, and have a bit more luck in front of goal, in the second half 😀
