2-0 home win, first game of the season. No away goals lost.
We will win the tie.
Sounds like chances were made, just not taken.
I would worry if they weren’t made.
Many thanks for the updates, they were appreciated.

Would have took 2 nil before K.O
so well pleased with not losing any.
I just love Broonie he is the heart of our team . young Armstrong was excwellent too and his workrate and ability to spot a pass is braw
Charlie just stick to the basics Son.
Poor poor penalty at any level, Leigh is (I think )Penalty taker so SJ needs to have a word with himself.
Happy Tim tonight as we will only get sharper.

Might be difficult for you to accept but Celtic fans will analyse that game and scoreline very differently, most fans like me, will be content we’re through.
The difference is some don’t need to find it ‘tough’ to respect others opinions.

He offered a fairly reasoned analysis of the game, and opinions are what this place is all about – including yours

Very happy with result tonight , should have been a lot more putt it down to a few reasons , still not up to match sharpness big nadir Cifti trying too hard to score 1st goal for us , pretty sure he will bag 35 -40 this season , but onwards to 2nd leg & 2nd qualifier on our way to champions league proper , going to be a great season
Ohhh good to meet up with some Grand Bhoys and Ghirls at the corner before K.O

2 goals scored, none conceded, is the regulation European home tie result.
A couple of good performances – Brown for 90 mins, Armstrong when he was allowed to play inside – and a few rusty ones, most notably Joe Hanson, whose first touch resembled that of a bagatelle pin.
Liked the look of Boyata, strong in defence, comfy on the ball. Ciftc though missed a great chance to get his Celtic career off flyer.
Content with the result, appalled at the prospect that Glasgow’s own Statler and Waldorf may have bought season tickets directly behind me…
Thought we played well tonight, missed quite a few decent chances. The good thing is though that the tie should have been over but isnt, keeps everyone on there toes,no walk in the plastic park, can only be a good thing to keep the Bhoys focused for the next qualifier.
I never commented on anything DBBIA or BSR posted.BSR took it on himself to try and be a smart ass with me for giving whingers short shrift.Fair dos,but dont act all coy when someone comes back at you.

Only negative from the incredibly dodgy stream I half-managed to acquire was the pen argument, JF and Guidetti did similar last season and seem to remember Jimmy missed that one as well. Apart from that we were more than comfortable and their keeper kept it a contest.
Brilliant to see Lustig back to full fitness, but even without him and with Matthews leaving we have plenty of cover at RB.
Ciftci signing didn’t excite me initially but from what I saw he contributed more than enough tonight, and when his sharpness improves he’ll be a fantastic addition with his strength.

I think it’s fair to say that we were rusty tonight. Few Celts were at their best put I saw little from the Icelanders that could threaten us and I expect us to score over there which will close the tie out.
Job done, happy enough with that.

for all the fans attending tonight, sunny night, nice temperature, Celtic Park beckoned in green & white (no school for the kids in the morning) ..summer football for me if ever possible
On a wee side note there were 5 CL qualifiers tonight (and a right few last night) at a quick glance we had the most favourable result tonight, if 2-0 gets us to the group stages in the long run the negatives (if any) will be forgotten and that will be magic
Roll on next week, as per usual, Ronny was his normal truthful self in post match interview

Meanwhile, Deila revealed winger Gary Mackay-Steven had been replaced in the starting line-up by James Forrest shortly before kick-off due to a groin strain.
“We don’t take any chances,” said the Norwegian. “We had to let him rest.”
Boyata was withdrawn late on and later revealed he had cramp.
“For myself, it’s something I’m not happy with,” said the former Manchester City player. “I wanted to finish the game.
“It’s not put me in a good mood and hopefully it’s something I can sort out very quickly.”

Setting Free The Bosch :¬)
Back fae the game,a decent result and performance
considering it was our first competitive game.
Thought SB and SA did really well, wee Izzy was their
most dangerous player.
This game will bring us on a fair bit,we will improve and
will have to if we’re going to reach the group stages.
On the downside, get these who’s taking the penalty farces
sorted out effing unprofessional and embarrassing.
Away tae ma bed goodnight Timland.
Another couple of fancied teams to go through in deep trouble tonight,to add to the ones from last night.Malmo and Zagreb, really in the mire.
2 0 is ok .but icelandic teams ,league of Ireland standard and that’s a part time league. Anyhow things can only get better.
I am sure they will. First competitive game out of the way. Clean sheet next week hopefully,
Second round will be tougher
