Well done Scales tonight – A real battling performance capped off by a well taken goal.
We have to find a way to get a decent center forward scoring goals. Kenny is not the answer and if Kelechi is injured, we are in for a tough few weeks. Hopefully Maeda is fit for the weekend, he’s not been playing well, but he’s the best we’ve got right now. Maybe that win will spark something in the team.

Players really looked like they cared tonight . That can cover a lot of deficiencies . We got the most out of our bare-bones squad and hopefully can keep doing so until we get to January . Our striker situation is totally unacceptable for a club like Celtic ,which is no criticism of Kenny , who probably caused them more problems than the immobile Kelechi would have . Hope Maeda is back soon to help ease the options up front
Will nothing happen to the graz player who cheated with the obvious dive to get a free kick?

What is Maeda’s injury? He went all the way to Japan for two games and took no part in either – was he already injured before he went?

Just having a read back. Do we feel Kenny is a good player because he is Irish?? He has got to do much better if he wants a decent career spell at Celtic. He shows no composure in front of goal – maybe he needs a couple goals to get his confidence up.
Fabulous effort from every player.Great the see Engels back in the starting lineup. He gave us energy and fight which has been missing recently.McGregor and Hatate in the second half especially were turning and taking the ball forward.Great to see.Scales was excellent throughout and some of his passes forward were superb.Nygren, who I was giving it stinking, never gave up and deserved his reward.Tounetki was positive in just about everything he did and linked much better with Tierney.Special praise for young Donovan who came in put in a great performance and credit to Kenny for 100% effort.
Finally, well done Brendan for encouraging the team to move the ball forward with pace and fight for each other.

Think its a lot to do with a lack of game time
For a striker match shaprness is vital
lacking it tonight
Although
huge plaudits for continually getting in the position to score
Especially the chance he created in the first half by pressing the defender, making the tackle and shooting just past the post
Nothing to do with his irishness, but well done for bringing that up
If we had signed better, we wouldnt be in that position
Both the board and rodgers at fault there

Thought Kenny’s running off the ball and positional play was excellent tonight.
This Bhoy will score goals a plenty if given a decent run in the team
I thought Kenny did well tonight. Always showed for the ball, worked hard closing down and held the ball up and made some good passes and got into some scoring positions.
Hopefully will get more sharpness and confidence as he plays more.
Kelachi looked to be in pain and possibly a muscle injury from the way he went down, so might be out for a few weeks.
Maybe an opportunity for Shin to get some more time on the on the pitch as well.
Good to see the Bhoys getting a reward for their efforts after the weekend.

Kenny might be good if he had someone to play off but not as a lone striker.
Its rank Rodgers bad management that Kenny was thrown in as a lone striker tonight.
Celtic should not be playing with ONE striker in every game, and especially as away goals don’t count anymore so what is the point?
Jose Mourinho won 5 EUROPEAN TROPHIES cause he is NOT A DIM TIM!
Brendan plays with 2 wingers in every game.
How many crosses did they put into the box tonight?
Brendan in effect leaves us with 2 men short as his wingers are doubled up on and easily nullified like at Dundee.
Arren Robben did not wait for 27 tippy tappy passes to be played before receiving the ball, thats why he was magic.
NOWADAYS a winger needs a long ball, but perfect Rodgers dizny allow that.
THAT IS WRONG! Rodgers is wrong!
He’ll get away with it in Scotland with little opposition.
BUT.
Rodgers is being sussed out now more often than not.
How much did Rodgers spend in the window compared to Pressley?
Shhhhhhh don’t be a troll.
How many wingers have turned out to be duds at Celtic because of THAT Rodgers bad management?
Four per season? How much does that cost the club?
If Celtic PLC had leaders they would already have reined in Rodgers spoiled child like extravaganza.
BUT.
The board, management, players, fans, don’t have a single leader.
Get sussed at Dundee – and start talking about Hondas as dim Timmy won’t know the difference!
Flat back 4 playing NOTHING BUT LONG BALLS and the wingers will score a hat trick each every week.

Interviews from a pumped, stoked and proud boss who – some -allege is working his ticket out; pah!
“In a European football match, teams can use up to five substitutes during regular time, made during a maximum of three stoppages in play. If the game goes into extra time, an additional substitute and one extra stoppage are allowed. Substitutions made at half-time or during half-time in extra time do not count as one of these stoppages. ”
So we can make 5 subs but need to double sub twice
As we had 2 subs for injuries that fecked us
Is that right??? (and why not bring on another when touetki went off???)
Much improved tonight. Could have scored 5 or 6 but a win was needed no matter the score.

Re the views on Johnny Kenny’s missing opportunities tonight; some may recall when Frank McGarvey initially joined Celtic he passed up a few goal scoring opportunities. However, he was a player who could really work a defence and make numerous runs into space. Kenny appears to have some of those qualities and hopefully, as with McGarvey, the goals will come.

We still didn’t click fully but effort tremendous.
If we’d clicked it could have been 6-0.
After 30 minutes Tounetki decided to ignore the coaching and just hit the byline. Well done him.
Liam Scales. Important goal. Absolutely tremendous finish given the pressure we were under. Hit the space aggressively too. Good man.
Great shift by Engels.
Nygren and Kenny could have scored braces or hattricks.
Balance of the team looked better.
Green shoots maybe.
A few neggies for me.
18th minute, one phase of attacking play, we took TEN touches in the box !!!
“You score. No you score. No you hit it”
We lost confidence and speed in the last 10 minutes against 10 men. Poor game management.
Hindsight is wonderful but AJ was forced back early.
He has been out for two months with a hammy.
Whatever happened to 10 days training then 30, then 45, then 60 and then 75 minutes game time?
Also Johnny Kenny was ready to go at 2 minutes so Kelechi must have been a risk?
