CELTIC: Schmeichel, Donovan, Trusty, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Engels, Nygren, Yang, Maeda, Tounekti.

Subs: Sinisalo, Doohan, Balikwisha, McCowan, Iheanacho, Bernardo, Murray, Forrest, McArdle, Ralson, Hale, Isiguzo

  2. Hope it is a big night for our younger players on the bench, Hale, McArdle & Isiguzo….as in being part of a Celtic squad that achieves a victory at home in a European match…

A good performance and win tonight could be a big boost for our league campaign . Go to it Celts !

  4. No surprise in the starting XI as it was pretty predictable. Which in itself is sad. Both as a sign that the manager doesn’t trust the players on the bench to perform as good as those starting, but more importantly, it means opponents can prepare their tactics in advance knowing the likely line up facing them.

My fears tonight are less to do with the strength of our opponents and more about our own abilities as a team. I am by nature a worrier before play big games. Hopefully we have enough about us to get the win. Preferably by two clear goals.

  5. Hoping Celtic win well and also play well tonight.

I’m also surprised to see no one has remarked on tontine Tim’s comment on the previous blog referring to Germans as third reichers. Was that how Andy Thom was considered? That kind of language belongs in the dark ages.

  6. and N Lennon has being saying for a good while – if we can get the quality players to come up to Scotland!!!!

keep the updates comin ghirls and bhoys, it’s me and Packie tonight.

Must have missed that one , but you’re right .

Not TT’s usual style , to be fair .

Was working on town as the Utrecht fans made their procession towards the ground.

They were making some noise and will get right behind the team. Let’s hope we give the home fans something to sing about.

Looking for a win and hopefully play a decent bit of football played whilst getting it. 👍🏻

  9. Only thing that matters tonight is getting the 3 points…I’d love it if it was done by playing blinding football…but I’ll take a 93rd minute ugly deflected winner.

Nothing reveals a person’s hidden nature like the rage of betrayal. When a core truth shatters, the mask slips, and the language that emerges may shock, but it speaks to a hidden self that was always present beneath the mask.

*it was tongue in cheek and NOT referring to all Germans but those in Hamburg at the time of the Star Cavern, if I have offended anyone then sorry but was NOT meant to be that way

  12. Martins press conference was an embarrassment .” Whos to say we won’t spend money”.Just think about that sentence.Disgraceful, for a club with money.I think this second hand Board, are leading Martin a merry dance.

    Look at this team tonight.😐😐😐

  13. Sure I have read on here a hundred times at least that McGregor, Engels and Nygren can’t play together. Not a tackler amongst them, powder puff, lightweight etc etc.

    Ho hum.

Maybe tonight’s the night. Maybe not.

  14. Turkeybhoy – indeed. Also said tthat he wants a quick winger in who the next manager will be happy with. I assume he is referring to the lad at Motherwell but they want 4 million and we are offering lemonade bottles.
