CELTIC’S League Cup last 16 tie against Motherwell at Parkhead will be shown live on television on August 10.

The SPFL have confirmed the dates and times of the six knock-out matches, with the Hoops’ clash against Mark McGhee’s Premiership rivals the only game that will be broadcast.

BT Sport will show the game a week on Wednesday with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The only other all-Premiership clash between St Johnstone and Hearts will also take place on the same evening.

There will be no replays and all ties will be decided on the night, with extra-time and penalties taking place in the event of a draw.

In the new tournament format, the quarter-finals will take place in September and the semi-finals in October before the Final is staged at Hampden on November 27.

The reorganised draw: Tuesday August 9: Alloa v Inverness Caley Thistle, Dundee United v Partick Thistle, Hamilton v Morton, Hibs v Queen of the South, “Rangers” v Peterhead.

Wednesday August 10: CELTIC v Motherwell, Ayr United v Aberdeen, St Johnstone v Hearts. (All kick-offs 7.45pm).
