I don’t share the majority view that the Huns won’t be contenders next season.
In my daft opinion, they’ll easily be best of the rest, and challenge us for the title if we don’t sign new players. It might come down to the games against them.
A lot of the current squad are gutless, as shown through the Ronny years. If the pressure cranks, they may bottle it. I think we need 4 new first team players; a new midfield and a defender basically. Maybe Broony is good enough. Maybe

Signing players who don’t really want to be here is useless, we’ve been down that route. It’s not only about ability it’s more about attitude.
We’ve also tried ageing reputational players, with limited success.
The reality is that players or more to the point their agents will find footballing Giants like Watford, Bournmouth etc more appealing than us. That is the unfortunate reality.
The way forward must be to buy raw talent or train our own. We might not be able to come close to matching the EPL riches available, but our training facilities are on a par with the best.
We must get more out of Lennoxtown.

For those complaining about lack of transfer movement we have over 6 weeks until the transfer window closes end of August and the following deadlines from UEFA for Champions League qualifiers :
* 21 July 2016 (24.00CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round; 

* 8 August 2016 (24.00CET) for all matches in the play-offs;
As stated, I’d rather we signed the players we want once they are available rather than just signing players for the sake of it. Our history with that strategy has been well documented.
We also have a bloated 1st team squad of over 30 players, many of whom have to be moved on, thus providing finances for buying more / better players.
Just because other teams are picking up a load of free transfers and offloads doesn’t mean we have to follow suit. If Brendan is the manager we think he is, he will know by now exactly what he wants to form his squad. He won’t get them all but hopefully he will improve our squad to play the style he wants to play.

this team was not good enough to qualify the last 2 years.. Why do people think we can qualify without buying players before the next round., if we get there.

That’s because under the 1986 Insolvency Act, Prohibited Names, the name by which a liquidated company was known at any time in the previous 12 months, be it its registered name at Companies House or it’s trading name, or any name so similar to these as to suggest an association with the liquidated company, cannot be used.
Why none of the 276 creditors has objected to the use of ‘Rangers’ ‘the’ or not, is beyond me, especially one big enough to be immune to any intimidation, like HMRC.
Yet another rule that is different for Sevco, thus rendering the upcoming Scoddish Football season a farce, worse than WWE, as it at least admits to being an entertainment, not a sport.

Had a look at the Hun team from the weekend, it’s basically that same team from last year. Looking at their fixtures I expect them to start well. The challenge for them will be lasting the pace. 90 points will win the title at a canter. We should focus on ourselves and look to achieve at least that number. Whatever you say about Deila he was able to ingrain a winning mentality in the league including a particularly good record after Euro fixtures. Take care of our business and 6 in a row will be a formality.
