  1. Looks like I’ve finally managed to log in depite numerous attempts.

Now, if CQN does not recognise longstanding passwords, and then does not send an email when you tick lost password how can you possibly get logged in at all? Reopen CQN? Seems to have worked, for now.

  2. Only thing, ok maybe not the only thing, I will say about yesterday’s game is thank God I support Celtic and not Wolves. What a nasty little football team, with a style more akin to the SPL than the EPL. Light years away from Nuno’s attacking side of a few seasons back. Relegation battle awaits.

Logged in and out myself again.

    Poor.

Reading back, Big Jimmy I think haska may have a bad attitude, great for that one month now he’s has a swagger and no work ethic. I’m going to say it, David Turnbull is more of a threat and he’s faster than. Haska, never saw the Oh hype either, bull in a China shop player foe me.

Yes, Motherwell got the last seeded place yesterday when Kelty scored a late pen at Ross Co

what I took from the CL was that our players had more courage on the ball .

It ripped my knitting the way Celtic players who could play harder passes week in week out failed to play simple passes in Europe .

You don’t get to play for Celtic if you are a poor footballer ,so for me it’s a mentality problem .

IMO Ange’s philosophy played a part in solving a long standing problem ,I for one hope it helps some of the players this time round .

A prayer for Benny to rest in peace.

God bless his family at this time

  8. So yet another match to be played on Kilmarnock’s horrible plastic pitch.

  9. Good draw?

A cup tie played on a pitch that looks like a carpet that has been beaten to within an inch of its’ life.

A great advert for Scottish football….

League Cup draw after Dundee v Inverness game.

    —————

And the Huns get yet another home draw against a lower league team in one of the cups. Does anyone have the stats since they got back into the SPFL of how many home ties they’ve had? Or, even just the last 2-3 seasons?

Certainly won’t stack up against our tough away draws.

Rangers last away draw was January 2023 in Scottish Cup v St Johnstone. Celtic got two home draws v Morton and St Mirren.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

  12. Tricky one in the league cup. Away on plastic to Killie.

We need at least 4 x £7m plus players signed in time for this if we have any ambition to defend our treble.

No idea who these players are who would sign for this money and improve our squad and I certainly won’t name them even if I did have a clue but I know we need 4 or we have no ambition.

I have said it every season and I will say it again regardless of who we actually have signed and what our policy is. It gives me an excuse to blame the board and anyone else for lack of ambition if every 12 years or so we actually lose the league once.

Oh and Greg Taylor is rubbish too. He may have been amazing and rated by all his colleagues this past 2 seasons. He may have been hugely missed when we dropped out of the game at Ibrox after he was injured. He may have had f all to do with the majority of the goals we conceded in Europe but he was back to his old rubbish self in a makeshift team in a friendly yesterday in Dublin.

    No bubble burst here Tom.

As requested, can anyone publish the number of home draws they’ve had v away draws over the last 2-3 seasons.

Seems a given that when they’re struggling for cash, they tend to get drawn at home in the cups round after round.

We, on the other hand tend to get more away draws than we do at home.

Maybe just my biased view, but would like to see the stats anyhoo.

    Cheers in advance.

    Not sure what happened there:

It’s feels good because it’s looking at weak spots in the team and replacing with better but it doesn’t represent nearly as good value for money as spending it on players at the other end of the pitch

We need to start winning games at CP. a new slightly better left back won’t help with that

    ————————————————-

    That doesn’t make sense.

A better left back means better defending therefore less chance of conceding, which makes you have a better chance of winning.

  15. Better defending ie not losing a goal will only guarantee a draw. You have to score to win.

Two more goals in last year’s head to head with the two other lesser seeds would have got us into Europa.

Greg Taylor going off at the hell hole swung the game in the Huns favour … thankfully Tav pen & co could only manage a 2-2 win :-)
