After reading some of the pre-match posts on how ridiculous our team selection is/was, I can only assume my computer is showing me an inaccurate scoreline. Surely Wolves are leading by a comfortable marging?

Behave with that nonsense. A wee bit of composure at both ends and we’d be looking at 4-4 at this stage.
The issue is our depth of talent. We lose CCV and another before a EUCL game and that’s your go-to at the moment.

What is it about some Celtic supporters and negativity?
We are in the most successful period in our history but still some posters see only their perceived downside.
Also, these same people seem to imagine that if we buy some seven million pound players we will ammediately be more successful in Europe. How does that work for English clubs who spend many factors of seven and still `fail `in Europe?
I genuinely believe that, as many have said `some folk are just never happy`.
PS I realise my post is pretty negative but not about OUR team.

Totally agree about 4 players in the £7 million price bracket.
The money is there, nobody is asking to spend money we don’t have.
As Ange said, its pointless having money sitting in the bank when you want a better team on the park.

I’d love nothing more than you’re ideal, I just can’t realistically see it happening.
£7m x 4 + signing on fees, agent fees and big wages for those four, could really put a dent in our finances and, potentially upset the dynamic in the dressing room.
This is why I think it won’t happen. Well, that and past experience of how we do things during transfer windows.
P67 has said numerous times sell big, buy big, repeating what Ange was saying.

There are always fans on here who have decent insights into the team and I thank them. It’s unfair to put them down and accuse them of being disloyal. I agree the team out there doesn’t look like challenging in the CL. Hopefully this is BR getting his final look at what players he needs to replace. It’s still not too late and hopefully there are already irons in the fire.

It’s not simply about buying big. We’ve had Ajeti and Barkas to show us that and Eduard in his final year, plus plenty of players in other leagues. It’s about buying and then managing wisely – a good player with a record of performing over a period of time and also able to play the way the manager wants the team to play and of course not prone to injury. Such a player won’t come dirt cheap but they don’t necessarily break the bank. These kind of players can also play a part in developing the younger players and inspiring them – it’s always better to play with good players rather than bad players as Einstein said.
