That’s an opinion fella. Passed off as a fact.
As you well know, I think it’s completely wrong and I don’t think I’m an outlier in the support. Can’t be arsed with the lazy trope that we need a scapegoat, that’s once again taking the man, not the ball and is always aimed at shutting down debate.
He was repeatedly ragdolled by their RW today, in a way we see often in the Champions league. We need better quality and keep GT as an able back-up in an attacking SPFL side. He’s excelled there.
He will, I’m confident in saying, fight tooth and nail to keep it. And that is what you want in any Professional team/player.

“Where would you rather we spend the cash”
To be assured of better than Taylor would cost too much money for a position that doesnt make enough of a difference at that level. The real difference makers are attacking players, that’s where we should be spending our money, and they also make a far bigger difference in the epl than a new shiny left back

We need, equally, to stop leaking so many goals. We’ll get chances. That’s not all GT’s fault (before I trigger you) but arguably we have 2 at the right standard in CCV and AJ. CS and Rocky can fight it out, we need a Forster clone but GT is a massive drop he can’t reach at Euro level when up against that level. Rodgers needs to be more cautious than Angeball too.
I’d spend on 4 at 6ish million….I’d spend on a clatter of others next summer around the same price of the back of Abada, Hatate and O’Riley raking in £65m in fees.
That’s how you do it. Hving CCV quality across the backline would be transformational. Why can’t we have it?

Jenz played all 6 games last season. We didnt play a single game with our first choice CB partnership. Welsh played in a game alongside Jenz. We’re already almost guaranteed to have a better defence than last season.
We also didn’t lose many goals down his side. I would be happy if you proved me wrong on this. Not your opinion though please.
We didn’t take enough of our chances. Shakhtar Donetsk had a fraction of our chances and took more at crucial times. Leipzig outscored us because they had better attackers than ours.
“We need to take more of our chances” was heard far more than “Greg Taylor needs replacing”. I don’t remember anyone saying that at the time

Our back 4 were stretched again with pace
Neither our midfielders, or wingers have a proper defensive bone in their body
What I mean by this is just like last year, in the Champions League, when our play breaks down the turnover very quickly breaches our midfield and our defenders find themselves running backwards with no protection
We get overloaded and struggle
Big time
The other is Taylor is too small and too slight for this level
Where would you rather we spend the cash
Goalie, centre half, left back, winger and striker
Good points.
It’s interesting that BR has gone with a 4-3-3, guess that’s due to the fact the players are familiar with it and the qualities of the players available.
We need a midfield setup and personnel that are capable of defending, protecting the back four and being creative going forward – one out of three ain’t bad.
Where should the money be spent?
Firstly and most importantly a top quality defensive midfielder.
Then an athletic, fast, left back that is good at dead balls and crossing and defending
A top quality goalkeeper, Joe has got a lot going for him and made a great save today but we need another Forster or Boruc

Enjoyed game, plenty to be pleased about.
Penalty very soft, chances at both ends but result means feck all.
I certainly hope we keep Scales thought he did well and is not afraid to get retribution.
I really like Joe Hart but he made a lot of errors out there, we got away with it today but on another day it could be really costly.
Last 20 minutes was hard to judge anyone as all the changes disrupted game,
IMO We need a top Keeper and at least 2 more defenders, 3 if Starfelt loves Jaycintha more than Celtic.
