CELTIC will take on Wolves at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in South Korea in the summer.

The match – which will be played on Wednesday July 26 – is part of the champions’ pre-season tour which will also see Ange Postecoglou’s side visit Japan, as CQN reported yesterday.

Hoops’ South Korean international striker Oh Hyeon-gyu will come face to face with one of his county’s Qatar heroes in Hwang Hee Chan, who plays for the Midlands outfit, as stated on the Celtic website.

Celtic and the Molineux club have figured in a number of friendly encounters over the years, with the most recent taking place in Glasgow in July 2011 when the team lost 2-0 at home to the English side.

Further announcements for the week-long stay in Japan are expected to be announced soon.

Postecoglou could have SIX Japanese players in his travelling squad with Yosuke Ideguchi returning from his loan spell in the Far East in June to join Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata.
