It’s an OG but that doesn’t happen with today. He has the strength to hold offf the defender ( Kyogo imo wouldn’t ) and the goal results.
I absolutely love the fact that Idah went mental despite the fact it was clearly an OG. This lad bleeds Celtic.

Shortie been horribly snyde all week in their preambles……………..
Of the aforementioned results sequence for an 8th place finish, the longest shots are probably Leverkusen and Juventus both drawing their games. And of course Celtic going to Villa Park and winning!

Hello again all you young rebels.
Just had to make a post congratulating our bhoys for their efforts
to win that game for us, don’t suppose we’ll be too worried about
the previous form of YB,s games if we get to another European
final eh ?
Relax and enjoy the moment bhoys, I know I will after a 4 o clock
rise this morning to watch it.
Now how will I celebrate …

Wow wow wow, nerves shot to bits,McGregor World Class in the 1st half, unlucky a couple of offsides, cant miss penalties, Reo’s pass, big Idah brilliant run,we deserved that, big Kasper’s saves…..fantastic support from the fans
In considering the Brest v Real Madrid game I seem to have leapfrogged Bayern Munich and Dortmund, who are at home to Slovan Bratislava and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively. It is probably unrealistic to expect neither of those two to be home wins, so it’s looking unlikely that we can get 8th place, barring a couple of big shocks (like the Feyenoord result tonight!).
And if we don’t make the top 8, we could actually get a kinder play-off draw by finishing in the bottom half of the play-off qualification places!

Had we managed to sneak a late winner (o.g., penalty or otherwise) against either Bruges or Zagreb, a win at Villa would guarantee a top 8 finish!

To my eyes, the ref allowed them to foul and niggle without taking action yet was quicker to penalise our lhads.
Also, it was a hands-on push on Daizen’s back at our penalty claim; didn’t merit a look.
Sadly, the loss of Daizen for the Villa game will curb our ability to get a surprise result.
Still, we are thru to the next round!!

Same swash, still no buckle. solid Celtic have the same total as Dortmund who’d have thunked it?, great away points in Atalanta and Zagreb, meant home wins mean more big bucks for Celtic. A night to remember from first half profligacy, as per the Scottish Cup and Kilmarnock to a rightfully CL bottom placed Young Boys. High press, high intensity only lasts so long in the 95 minutes during which BR’s teams needs to score, and often. He picked his ‘A’ side again but heads went down, as did the unrivalled pre game atmosphere due to a lack of legitimate finish, and how many times have you seen a missed penalty influence a game?
Young Boys took heart having seen all Celtic could throw, but they also changed tactics flooding the middle and went looking for the goal of their own, but there was none of the usual late heartache, thanks to decent defending that was missing for Celtic in previous campaigns . Kasper Schmeichel definitely a Brendan signing twice, once in August and again this week.
A hint of desperation grows when the early goal doesn’t come, we don’t get many cheap goals, tonight it was overdue though Adam Idah did well to high press a goal getting in behind Benito. Somebody needs to get clinical, we also need a player that pauses the midfield keeps possession during periods of domination, same as last Saturday. More likely to get another flying winger before wee Jamesie gets fit, and why not, it would be rude not to.

By my reckoning (although I might not be thinking entirely straight right now), on match day 8, IF…
Celtic win at Villa Park
Barcelona win at home to Atalanta
Leverkusen draw at home with Sparta Prague
Inter Milan win at home to Monaco
Lille draw at home with Feyenoord
Real Madrid win away to Brest
Juventus draw at home with Benfica
…Celtic will finish in 8th place.

I think we suffered in the 2nd half from the crazy number of games we’ve played.
Anyway, thank you, Celtic, even if I have no nerves left.

Rejoice ya filthy b@st@rds
We got lucky in the end but we were well due a bit of luck in Europe.
First half we tore them apart had the ball in the net 3 times and missed a penalty.
I’ll put my hand up, at halftime I felt we were not going to win this.
Idah might be clumsy but one thing he is good at is staying onside in these situations.
Kyogo could take lessons from him in this Department.
The ball from Hatate was superb, the goal will go down as an OG but without Idah we would not have won tonight/s game.
Relieved & extremely Happy, the recent run of games has been horrendous, and we go again on Saturday & then Villa.

The ref ignored that defender’s fouls on daizen all night . Eventually Daizen had enough but the ref was the real culprit .
Being reported Kyogo to Rennes for €12m plus Jota. Hopefully just paper talk
