Not a night IMHO for a post mortem on the actual performance – all that matters is that we got the result we needed against a poor but sly team of giants who were aided by some dreadful refereeing ( only the refs 3rd full CL game and it showed. Should have clamped down on their persistent fouling and time wasting).
Well done to Brendan and the players – a fine achievement , well deserved.

McGregor in the first half, was as good a performance by a Celtic player that I have seen for a long time.

He was immense, bettered perhaps only by his performance against Leipzig which I thought was the best performance Iād seen from a Celtic player for as long as I could remember.

…and to think that not so long ago the talk was we’re not at Champions League level. Europa is more our level.
Yet here we are. In the CL with 1 game to go after 7 games and – as it stands- 18 teams below our current position…and it could have been even better. But wasn’t.
