I’ll contact the usual drunken alcoholic basta, erm, sorry, the troops to let them know you’re available.

Plus my Dad,who as you know, barely even looks at alcohol except with disdain.

I quite like when songs are made up to the tune or lyrics of Hymn’s, means there is no chance the zombies will steal and soil them

Apart from the Zenith….proper balanced reporting ….it will never catch on.

    Up da hoops.

  4. I suspect Scotland will now play in front of their lowest crowds forsome considerable time.

What a boring, lack of ambition, just get any manager, aye he’ll do he’s no working and he’s cheapish with Hun affiliations, we can’t go back for wee Gordy with our tail between our legs, monumentous fekk up of an appointment this is.

I wouldn’t go to see Scotland under that buffoon if I was given a free ticket for the hospitality section.

Totally underwhelmed. No idea why anyone would welcome this backwards move.

If I have a criticism it was our dead ball delivery – dare I say mediocre

    ======

At one stage in first half we had two corners in quick succession, both on the Main Stand side. First one was played short and within two passes we were back at the centre circle. Ball was popped back out to the right and we won another corner! This time pinged into the middle and the keeper plucked it out the air unchallenged.

First, if you’re going to play a short corner at least rehearse it a bit more. Advantage can be totally gone and if you’re not careful you’re susceptible to being punished on counter attack.

Second, a bit more pace needed on dead ball delivery to avoid catching practice for the keeper.

Ntcham had a very good game but not the man for set pieces.

  6. I was quietly confident when the team came out last night and factoring a possibility that Zenit may be a tad undercooked that Celtic would win comfortably. I have say to say even I did not bank on that kind of performance WOW!

We debate on here the performances of players on here and rightly so, the one thing last night validated for me is that players individual form will fluctuate especially when they are young. What determines Celtics overall performance is tempo. When this side plays at tempo they are a joy to behold. Some of the performances this season which could be rated as underperforming have been when the tempo is not right. FAST & AGGRESSIVE that’s the CELTIC FOR ME.

  7. Bobby: 23rd June or later doesn’t suit me. First weekend in October doesn’t suit either, but don’t let that sway your thinking:-)

And don’t believe that G98 fhella. I’m back to work on Monday and will have to wait until Wednesday before I get a half day.

    Last weekend in June,maybe?

Aye,I remember winding M up when he mentioned being the happy owner of a mortgage,a wife, and a dog!

    Just ticked so many boxes.

Don’t get me wrong, none from malice, and envious of his settled life. Considerably better than the chaos I manage to survive.

It will be so good to see him again-if he’s allowed out!-and Big Aidy. And the likes of TCR,maybe BIGBONES,and whoever else fancies it. And I would hope that RAYMAC will make an appearance too,as he won’t be buying much in my company.

(I’ll be in the toilet when it’s his round)

The lads from The South. See,this is where you see the problem with accommodation. And numbers.

I hope 16 ROADS has a few spare rooms,I hear he loves Derry.

Love to see Sutty get into them rather than us. Like Willie Miller and Michael Stewart at least he calls it as he sees it rather than be agenda driven.

Technically I suppose MacLean was right. If you forget about all the games we have won, then we haven’t actually won for a very long time!

I’m sure hes just preparing for his next role with North Korean state TV.

  12. Bobby: that number defunct. Current one ends in 0855. Off to Spain around 20th for em, a few weeks. Flight home just about to take off. Will check back later

  13. BT, was having same problem with accessing last page (s). As Mighty Tim said, solved it by rotating mobile to landscape. Samsung btw, not iPhone. Still annoying though. Hope you are well. HH

Charly in the build up to the goal was unbelievable particularly when he received the ball and went to the touch line at the start of the move. Twisted the blood of two Zenit defenders held the ball until big Ollie became available before releasing then ran like the clappers to take a return on the edge of the box from the Moose. Jinkyesque.

The Moose’s overall performance put the comment from that clown and well known Arsenal fan Charley Nicholas (feck when they leave us they really do hate us) that he wasn’t worth 12mill even in today’s inflated market into some sort of perspective. Charley must have been sitting there doing a lot of thinking on that one.

Might well be teaching my granny to suck eggs, but for a rattling good read, try Flashman’s Lady. Historically accurate by and large, bar the obvious liberties to put the central character into it.

You’ll get a laugh out of it at least.

To be fair,GMF was running out of ideas by then, his best probably being At The Charge or The Great Game.

At least Mac Lean is ugly enough and speaks in a voice only dogs can hear so definitely suitable for North Korean TV. He certainly can work to a script (see sectarian singing at Scottish Cups games passim) so the interview would be a dwaddle.

    You still driving that car:-)

Never had any issues to date ( fingers crossed) nor have the kids but I can imagine the anger and frustration.

Worst incident I had was leaving Fir Park one night after a midweek game. Car was ‘gone’ on my return. Wandered around the entire car park several times. After an hour plus, decided to walk to look for nearest cop shop. As I did, I spotted the car park where my car had been sitting! Was looking in the wrong one!!

I’ve got a very poor memory and my sense of direction isn’t too good either.

The introduction of Sat nav hasn’t helped either. I never pay attention to where I’m going. I just listen to the Sat nav lady’s dulcet tones.

    She works some hours btw.:-)

    Where were the polis?

    Obviously they can’t be everywhere.

I was working last night, around 3am I headed down to a wee village. And I mean wee. It skirts the old Lyneham Airfield, which is some size.

As I approached the turn, there’s a white SUV,Toyota,I think, wanting to turn out across me. Politely,I indicated early, then flashed my lights. On you go,son.

Nope, nothing. Sat there. Still sat there in my mirrors while I drove down to make my delivery. Then he moved.

Delivery made,I had to turn round, not much space, and as I did so I realised that there was another vehicle on the road.

Politely,he had made way for me. Flashed my lights in gratitude, carried on.

Saw him in my mirror-I’m pretty strong on that!-reversing. Never gave it a thought

Got pulled up doing 41 in a 30 zone.

Do you know what the speed limit is,sir?

    I’m sorry,Officer. I think I was doing 40, I know it’s 3 in the morning,place is empty,but I won’t embarrass you by making an excuse for it. There’s my clean licence gone.

Scottish lad. Must have helped, because he just gave me a quick dinnae dae that. Though he did say that how quickly I put on my hazards and pulled over helped!

I love the Scottish polis while I live in England!

  27. Still buzzing from last night. The man flu seems to be gone but so is the voice , canny speak . Not surprised at some great individual performances , the likes of Dembelle & Simonovic will be judged on theses games when richer clubs show an interest. Overall it was a very fine team performance , that bodes well for the future. The team is growing and learning, the manager adapted and made the proper calls ………..One criticism. Our set pieces don’t threaten. In some games they can be the difference. Must do better in that regard, otherwise , absolutely delighted, especially for a couple of mates that went to Edinburgh yesterday for a visa , for next week. They’ve to make a return journey to Edinburgh on Monday & another £120 for the privilege, of getting visa stamped , all before factoring in the £400 day trip . They won’t complain if they get a similar performance next week. HH

  28. WITS

    The £30m?

It’s tucked up in the bank earning interest. Rumour has it that when it’s worth £35m we’ll be putting in a bid for Morelos ( though I believe it’ll be turned down in similar fashion to the other 2,357 bids the Huns have rejected.)

  29. It still feels as goof today as it did last night. Even though I predicted 1:0, I am amazed that we conceded no goals. That score gives us a fighting chance but nothing has been won yet.

I tried to make a work appt. this morning but I was quickly sent home and told that my filthy germs were not going to deprive anyone of a nice weekend.

    Superb,mate. Very witty indeed.

Btw,the quickest way to turn £30m into £35m is obviously to lend it to the huns for six months, and then say btw,you still owe me £5m for the rest of the year.

I’m not allowed to spell f….d on here,so I’ll replace it with They’re Rangersed.
