Celtic vindicated

1145

Yesterday’s decision by the SFA’s Judicial Panel, which ruled that Josh Meekings could not be subject to retrospective action as the referee saw the contentious incident on Sunday contradicted the initial official version of events, and totally vindicated Celtic asking for clarification of the incident.

I’ve not had a chance to read through all the apologies from those who used their platforms to criticise the club, but I’ll set aside an hour to do so later.  Keep an eye on the very personal attacks on Peter Lawwell.  There are people at Hampden who don’t like his influence.

It’s never good to get ahead of yourself, and it would be foolish to assume too much ahead of our visit to Tannadice tomorrow, but I hope the Highlanders take a point against Aberdeen today.  Winning the title would be a great way to start a holiday weekend.

Loving the narrative coming out of Ibox at the moment.  It appears they haven’t even applied for membership of the ISDX yet as they haven’t found an advisor yet.  I assume that’s the fault of the Easdales.  Or the BBC.  Or Celtic.  Or maybe it’s the Pope of Rome!

What a shower.  You know how this story ends….

  1. Not too dark today in darkest Lanarkshire. Was running on the treadmill this morning, whilst watching the telly and reading the subtitles. I was staggered at the casualty count from Gallipoli, 130,000 killed in 8 months, or 16,000 each month, 500 per day, 12 an hour!!! For what ?

Then another story about a family who allowed their dead infants sons liver to be used for a transplant , the wee fellow had only lived for hours.

Made me think about what is important, I do this often. I was slogging away trying to keep my weight under control, utter vanity and probably selfish. Then we have a situation here, this site and amongst the Celtic support, where we are allowing cheats to get under our skin. In some cases to turn us into bitter replicas of the cheats we despise.

I despise the cheats and what they stand for but I will not allow them to drag me down to their level. Their actions speak volumes about the type of people they are and what they will do to preserve that wee badge on the blazer and their over inflated status. Heaven help them, they are delusional and their cowering together for protection is eerily reminiscent of a doomed flock of sheep as the wolves circle. They know the game is up however they want to drag us down with them.

Really gone off on a tangent here but I just feel that there are so many things more worthwhile of our time than that lot. Just looking at the two news stories today brought a bit of focus to my mind.

  2. it must be getting near to pay day over at poundland!

buddy can you spare a dime csc

  3. Can only see an easy Aberdeen win today. Inverness poor record versus them and minds will be elsewhere.

Will be interesting to see ICT team v Sheep today, they will be working towards keeping strongest team for the final.

  5. So the referee saw the handball and decided not to give a penalty. Is that worse than not seeing it at all?

At one tie refs used to explain contentious decisions on the SFA web site. When did that stop and why?

Celtic have shown the world how corrupt our game is, we are making waves and they don’t like it one bit. Trouble for the rotten mob is they cannae stop us now. We don’t need the written press anymore to highlight blatant cheating. I’ll keep going to watch Celtic as it’s a birth right and an honour. Not keen on any boycotts except games at hampden

    roll on tomorrow

You mentioned that nonsense with Bougherra and Diouf.

That decsion by Brother Murray and last Sunday’s are imo, the two worst I’ve seen in over 50 years watching Celtic.

    Corrupt to the core

    BSR,

    I think you are correct.

I think that there are many Celtic supporters that are not football supporters.

They don’t have much interest in the Game, for the Game’s sake.

If Celtic performed in another sport/ activity, they would still support Celtic.

We are first and foremost a football club, with a responsibility to the Game.

If it means that those charged with governing the Game need chastening, then we have an obligation to do our bit…….as without fans, etc.

The time for crying foul is over, we must play to our own whistle.

I’d still play in their competitions but treat them with utter contempt. Play the youths. Focus on the league every year till we’ve lost count .

the league title is everything in scotland (and only because they give us a CL route)

the cups are not worth a jot

League Title after League title after league title is the way to go

I wouldnt care a hoot if sevco won the scottish cup and the league cup for the next 10 years as long as we won the league!

You will not need an hour to go through the apologies, it will take you less than a minute.

On McLean, he should go, just like Dougie, he has proved he is incompetent.

    canamalar,

I’m not sure if a member club can refuse to play in the Scottish Cup.

Did ManU, when they went to play in S, America, require a dispensation from the FA to withdraw from that year’s competition?

A boycott of Hampden and all their works and pomps would send a message.
