The SPFL champions made an enquiry for the 22-year-old in April, but the Belgian outfit won’t sell their star asset until after their Champions League qualifiers against Manchester United.
He said: “I know Celtic’s interest is concrete, but I have not yet been officially contacted by the club.
“I wouldn’t have thought Brugge would be inclined to do any business while they have games against Manchester United to come.
“And they have an injury to their defender Bjorn Engles, too, which may further complicate matters.
“I think we will know more in the next few days.”
