LEO MAZIS, one of Celtic’s top prospects, has been named in the Australian Under-18 squad.

It’s the first international step-up for the teenage midfielder, who joined the Hoops from Aussie outfit Belconnen United after impressing Brendan Rodgers following a brief trial period in November.

Mazis, who has just signed a full-time contract until July 2021, is in the pool of players who will take on Japan and Paraguay in the SBS Cup later this month.

The Canberra product was delighted to join his nation’s superstar Tom Rogic at Parkhead and a third player from Down Under could be added this month.

World Cup winger Daniel Arzani, 19, could pen a two-year loan deal at the champions once the details are finalised in his move from Melbourne City to Manchester City.
