CELTIC are in line for a £4million transfer bonus if Moussa Dembele moves to Manchester United in a £47million switch from Lyon in the summer.

The Old Trafford side have already opened talks with the Under-21 international striker, according to respected French sports journal L’Equipe.

Arsenal and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also tracking the in-demand frontman who quit the Hoops in August last year in a £19.7million move to Ligue 1 outfit.

The champions could pick up a percentage of Lyon’s profit which is likely to net the club around £4million at least.

Dembele, 22, has attracted the attention of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who faces a summer rebuild after agreeing a three-year contract as Jose Mourinho’s successor.

The ex-Celtic hitman, who signed a deal until 2023 when he moved, has scored 14 goals for his French outfit in his debut campaign to boost his transfer value.

Solskjaer sees Dembele as a straight replacement for Romelu Lukaku who has hinted he could leave at the end of the term.

United are also preparing to offload high-earning Alexis Sanchez who has flopped since his switch from Arsenal.

Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell has insisted on sell-on clauses in ex-players’ contracts which has netted the club millions in sales for ex-Celts such as Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool and Victor Wanyama to Spurs following their moves to Southampton.
