If ever you needed a reason to convince you to ignore the vast majority of transfer speculation which inflicts football fans from May until 30 August, the signing of Miku Fedor is a gift. Spanish football is suffering from the kind of economic wake-up call which makes it possible for aspirational Scottish clubs (I know there’s only one) to sign strikers first choice strikers. Miku came through the scouting process last season and remained on the list but the deal had to be right.
25 goals in 85 games for a struggling team in the top league in the world (Exhibit A: Atletico) suggests we might have someone who will flourish on an acre of Glasgow and will bring experience and confidence onto the field when he faced Barcelona, Benfica and Spartak Moscow. The deal has the hallmarks of Peter Lawwell’s try-before-you-buy policy. Get them in on a loan with an option to buy. If they are successful, do the deal, if not, you’re not stuck with Ulrik Laursen breezing into training asking the other players how they got on at the weekend.
Right now the most important question is, what shape of team does Neil Lennon have in mind? Miku plays through the middle and on the right. He’s fast and he’s 6’1”. Have we bought a someone to play on the right of a front three? Perhaps, but with circa 15 first-choice midfield players to accommodate the plan is surely more complex.
More on this when we have a quieter moment, I’m off to bed to forget all apache command line prompts until January. We’ll talk goalkeepers over the weekend.

BT
Celtic is in your veins, – and this is the Blog.
petec
I’ve just come in, and I know who posts and when. your grip on Celtic astonishing. They just committed my additional £84.00 today (not that it was in doubt) – and it’s a Saturday 3.00 K.O.
I only work part time so I’m one of the lucky ones, that can Blog more frequently.

Young Aidan loves the Celtic games but I have never taken him to a CL game.
I hope I find it difficult to get tickets for the CL games. Celtic have pitched them very well this time but they could have widened the margins a bit to give more importance to committing for the whole season.
Hats duly doffed to Pete Lawwbag ;)

Peter Lawwell has done well this window, I appreciate it.
Was discussing it earlier on, would be good for a Riquelme or Del Piero type to get more folk to games and keep them at the games while being capable of game winning majic in the Champions League. But its cool Im happy with what we have tonight.

Jam tarts fans fuming on Scotsman transfer blog. Writing in CAPITALS and everything. Swearing never to return to Swinecastle.
I bet sea cucumbers are mentioned more on cqn than anywhere else.
Some geeky Chinese scientist must be very confused when he googles them.
i think when all the ins and outs, counting wages saved there
will have been very little spent, compared to whats been brought in, now only if there was a way to fast track sevco in
to the top flight it would surely remove the word frightening
from the blogg.

Good night from a happy, contented Celtic supporter,

Estadio Nacional
Rome wasn’t built in a day. ;))
We are progressing well, very well.
You know the whole Logical Progression stuff so theres no need to drop the sonics.
The main thing is Neil is not getting fatal devices sent to his family home now, this means he can concentrate fully on Football 24/7.
We have one of the smartest Tactical Coaches, who is only going to get Better and Better.
Away from home, make sure you take the value at the bookies and that is Draws at least away from home.
I’m slightly worried by the 2 signings we have made. I think the team may become unsettled.
I guess I should explain why.
First off, I believe most of the first team squad are on form. Take Kelvin Wilson for example. He is a completely different player this season so far. Composed, authorative and showing the consistency which a first choice centre back should. On current form it is a difficult choice to leave him out in favour of Thomas Rogne.
Adding Efe Ambrose, (who, admittely I have seen all of 13 minutes of Youtube footage off, which is always no guide) may destabalise perhaps the best partnership we have had since Aitken & McAdam.
I hope Wilson & Mulgrew get the chance to build a partnership with a consectutive run of games as I think both deserve the opportunity to become legends. Call me insane but I can sense great things in these two partnered together.
Bringing Ambrose in and throwing him into a first team strat straight away has to be avoided for the moment, especially with the Champions League about to begin. We cannot start to expirement now at the heart of our defense.
I understand there will be the league and domestic cup competitions to field Ambrose and hopefully Neil makes the correct decision in fielding him in lesser ties and league games to see how he adapts. I’m sure he will do that…95%
As for Miku..
Again, I don’t know much about this player other than the Youtube coverage. I don’t even recall any notable goals by him even though I watched the game he scored against Real Madridin in La Liga.
As Paul hinted, if may be have been brought in as a right sided forward in a 4-3-3 but is this the time to change formation? especially when we are playing so well?
Some might argue we already play a 4-3-3 with Samaras-Hooper-Forrest (choose your picks) but the bhoy Miku looks a more direct centre forward type playing as a 2 up front. I’m not sure if he will add more than Forrest as part of a forward 3. It may be debatle he could bring more than Samaras but he is mainly right sided whereas samaras is left sided.
So again…
I’m unsure why we have bought these players. I don’t know what they can add to our young team that isnt better than what we have. Our team is progressing beautifully under Neil at the moment and I hope the scouts and Neil have seen something that will make us better.
I’m having severe doubts about it though and hoping Neil, Efe & Miku will shut me up.
Welcome to Paradise Efe & Miku

Not a bad day on the transfer market managed to off load Ban-duff out on loan
hopefully it permanent retirement from CP for Ban the man also managed to
permanently off load Murphduff and get two others out on loan to ICT & Pompy
& Bring in Efe Bobo, Mitsu another Goalie and maybe another striker who’s a
free agent @ present and still have over 25 Mill in the Bank by the end of this
Season which hopefully will be used to write off our debt and put a few Mill
aside for Neil’s future transfer kitty
By doing thorougher research and boxing wise in said transfer casino
nowadays the said market is a bit of a hit or miss if one does not do
ones homework/thorougher research then one can easily get stung
by not taking the wise way to go approach in said market then one
might as well take a gun with six bullets in it remove two bullets from
the barrel and play a very sad game called Russian Rolete

Just love the spin, so funny. Good see BT can see right through it
We have just taken in an extra 21 million and spent 1
Welcome to the new players
Miku does indeed have talent, but rarely uses it. Typical match report below I am afraid
Miku50
Will not be happy with what was a hugely ineffectual display in attack for Getafe. He failed to provide a focal point and showed a poor touch and was subsequently substituted in the 70th minute.
Still waiting for these huge loses to come out and if true the extra 20million will pay towards it
Why would we have large losses?
1.corporate failure in only qualifying for champions league in 1 out of 4 seasons
2. We have just let 10 players go, they all contributed to the debt, this is indeed the true Peter lawell signing policy ,
3. We employ a CEO at on premiership salary
All in all a we got a center half but that’s really all, we did want a bit of experience and an out an out goal score
Has Peter lawell supported our Neil. You can bet PL’s large salary he hasn’t
As I said if we do indeed have huge loses then heads have to roll
the hought of miku and sammi as a counter attack strikeforce is a frightening prospect

Good day for the Hoops.

I am stupid..
of course I am..
we where told to expect big losses today, did they appear?
did Lawell deliver on the transfer front?
ok i’m stupid..
u know my email number
I blame my keyboard and not this fine Martell for my spelling mistakes
Big G. Aiken/Mcadam partnership was indeed a behind the couch partnership
Lucky at the time we were blessed with frank and George and charlie
The more they banged them in made up for those 2 at the back

My fellow Columbian,
I can never quite understand how you can support the team, but not the organisation which runs it.
By all means, disagree with decisions, but not at the expense of support.

As ever, I reckon you are talking bollocks.
The economic situation means we can’t even be a bling Club. o_O
I am very thankful we have Custodians who have, in the main, been brilliant for Celtic.
EN
I noticed you were feeling bloated today, and studied your comments about the game.
I said Celtic held back, after they scored and let Helsingborg huff and puff, given their coach was delusional – this was a progressive step for Neil Lennon, we then went up the park and scored again, almost at will because we were better.
But I can’t argue that your view the other night, won’t stop every point being gold dust v the group.
This is where we are.
better go to bed as I am stupid..
yell you what I am fecking ragin… not stupid, well maybe I am…
