Celtic’s puncher’s chance

174

There are games when you are full of trepidation but this isn’t one of them. We face tonight’s foe with the proverbial puncher’s chance. Barcelona come to a venue where their losing rate is well above average. They know we’ve given them a bloody nose here on more than one occasion, and that we’ve progressed enormously since our visit to Camp Nou in September.

Brendan and the players will be looking forward to kick-off. This is what being a football player is all about. Facing off against the greatest players in the world on the top stage.

We have a team full of players on form and with something to prove. They have conquered all before them domestically, so professionally, need to hit a higher target.

You will possibly wonder how long there is to go, look up to find we’re only 90 seconds into the game. The competitive stress will be that acute, but tonight is part of the Great Celtic story. The game will develop the team and the club.  Players will be wiser and better because of it, our transformation in a few short months into a Champions League team will mature.

Drink in every ounce of it.

Ashley always folds against the huns for some reason.

    Canny understand it.

Me neither. Does Sevco ,or the wider masonic coven have something on him?

My arithmetic and ability to read are both fine! I wondered about the availability of the accounts to the public eye.

Just leaving now to head for ACGR country and then make our way down to the Dear Green Place.

Hello to Old Tim and every other Tim in the BV at present.

    Cheerio for now,

  5. There a time and a place to discuss Sevco. Personally I think a CL day against arguably the best team on the planet is not the correct time on a Celtic blog.

However it’s a blog open to all , but Possibly, just possibly the sleekit MSM are playing you.

Anyways guys that’s just my opinion, so no biggie. HH to all regardless.

My opinion is that there is always a time to extract the urine out of Sevco anytime , anywhere any place.

That the urine extraction has gone over your head is nobody´s fault but your own.

The MSM have been playing us for years.

I haven’t bought a paper since “Thugs and Thieves”, however, if you look out for circulation figures which are published periodically, you will see that the rags are running out of time.

    Each day that passes………………………..

Unfortunately innocent people will lose jobs.

Sad, but, they brought it on themselves.

I was going to watch tonight’s match sober. I have now revised that to “somewhat sober”. I’ll let you know how things stand (or not) at 7pm.

    —————————————————

I’ll start sober, but nerves mean I’ll be steamboats marine boats 30 mins into the game.

I had planned on going into Glasgow and perhaps catching a drink with one or two CQNers, but my wee dug is unwell so vet appointment at 16:45. Hopefully nothing serious.

I have to work until 8:00 and then a 30KM drive thank god for SLK´s and unlimited speed limits.

Wife will have a green curry as is always on CL Nights. Curry and rice in concentric circles and a bottle of Barolo. Which will be wolfed down during Zadok. Sofa has already been moved out from the wall in preparation. Still scarred from the first leg

  18. The only decision tonight is Kolo or Jozo. The rest of the team picks itself. Roberts will be on the bench as will Bitton.

  19. Awe Naw too much tannin in a Barolo for a curry

stick to beer , bubbles or try something younger and fruitier if red

    riesling would enjoy the green

Think you’re overdoing the attacking side with that selection.

    ———————————-

    Gordon; De Vries; Bailly.

Gamboa; Lustig; Sviatchenko; Simunovic; Boyata; O’Connell; Izaguirre.
